Why do the "Nazi hunters" follow the cast in a very recognizable vehicle? It's just their luck nobody can remember its license number - they have enough chances.

The shooting suspect could easily have been exonerated if the French police had just tested his clothes and hands for gunpowder residue. It would easily prove he did not fire the weapon. This kind of test has been standard in police work for decades prior to when this was released. This is a common plot hole in TV mysteries with lazy writing.
