I remember I was like in the 7th grade when this show aired in 1991. It came on UPN. It came on late and I use to stay up every Saturday and watched it. Me my parents and my sister was hooked on the show. I remember they took it off before airing any of the last episodes with the series finale. I remember the sexist pig warden Fisher. I have been trying to find this series on tape or DVD for years. I smile just thinking about it because I know the show was kind of corny but it just brings back memories when I was a young girl. It was one of those shows that you couldn't help but watch. Even though it was kind of corny it was good though. It was like a late night soap opera. I always wondered why they never brought it back on TV in syndication or something. What I remember the most is that it was show about women in prison and how even though they were all suppose to be harden criminal there was a vulnerable gentle side to all of them and most of them all had a secret.
I was eight years old watching this show with my mom and sister, it's sad that they didn't do anymore seasons witch it definitely deserved, there were so many questions that needed to be answered.

I remember this show's run in syndication on KTXH-TV 20 in Houston. I thought that it was a pretty good show. It was very simply filmed, lacking in flash or glam. It was gritty and to-the-point, which may turn off television purists and academia who break down shows with a checklist.
I remember Lynn Hamilton being in this show and thinking, "How did Donna from 'Sanford and Son' end up in prison?!" A very young Tia Mowry ("Sister, Sister") made a cameo as well.
Perhaps some station will pick this show up for a second run, but I doubt it. Which is a shame.

This was one of the best night time soap operas ever i loved it they had a great cast and every episode had you wanting more i wish that it was showing on one of the cable channels like soap net. I wonder if they'll ever release it on DVD i would buy it in a heartbeat i'm sure all my family and friends would too we all looked forward to that one night of week that this was on the characters and the story lines were awesome there hasn't been a TV show on yet that top this one i really hope they bring it back soon.i wish there was a way to white to the studio i would love to have a copy of all the episodes because as i said before this was one of the best shows on TV
I remember watching this all the time when I was 12 years old. I really liked it. It was one of those cheesy, soap opera-ish shows that just hooked me in with its storyline. I remember the twin redheads, Rita and Roxy. One was a prisoner and one dated one of the prison guards, Jack. I still remember that she called him "Jackhammer." I remember one episode where someone is trying to sneak one of the women out of prison and is hiding something inside of a ridiculously huge bracelet. I can still picture the prison bars slamming and the words "Dangerous Women" coming across the screen. I wouldn't mind finding the whole series on DVD and watching it for fun.

This series was shown late-night in some regions of the UK in 1992, during the summer. At this time I was between finishing school and starting college, and my lazy summer evenings were enlivened by watching this awful series! Essentially, it's Prisoner: Cell Block H relocated to America - New Mexico if I remember correctly. It was dreadful. I loved it, it now has a halcyon tinted glow...

I watched this TV show regularly I was in 7th grade at the time I believe. That was my first time watching Casper Van Dien, and I have followed his TV/movie career ever since. That was my first time seeing women in jail, and I found the show interesting. It also starred Valerie Wildman, who I enjoyed as well.
Once Casper appeared I had to find out who he was, so I waited till the end of credits and wrote his name down, I am glad that I did. I certainly couldn't forget his name after that. I think Casper is a wonderful actor, I am looking forward to seeing his future movie projects.
