Well, obviously The Simpsons is apparently more popular, but then again, they are two different shows - one is a cartoon, the other is live action, One is more fantasy, the other is closer to reality, etc. In my opinion, they are two top-notch shows that deserve greater appreciation. I would suggest watching Home Improvement over The Simpsons if you want to watch a sitcom for families. If you want something humorous to fill a time slot, then watch The Simpsons.

Home Improvement is an American sitcom following the trials and tribulations of Tim "The Toolman" Taylor (Tim Allen) the accident prone host of the TV DIY show "Tool Time" as he and his wife Jill (Patricia Richardson) raises their 3 sons Brad (Zachery Ty Bryan), Randy (Jonathan Taylor Thomas) and Mark (Taran Noah Smith) and occasionally, Tim turns to his next door neighbor Wilson Wilson Jr. (Earl Hindman) for advice whenever there is a problem.
