In reality, Oxenberg is a blood relative of the British Royal Family: her mother, Princess Elizabeth of Yugoslavia, is the second cousin of King Charles III as Princess Elizabeth's mother Princess Olga of Greece and Denmark was the first cousin of King Charles' father Prince Philip.

Roger Rees, the actor who plays Charles, Prince of Wales in this movie, is actually a Welshman from Aberystwyth, Cardiganshire, Wales. This is unlike Charles himself, who--despite his title--has no actual Welsh origins or ancestry.

Although David Quilter played Roger Rees' father, he was only two years his senior in real life.

Second time Catherine Oxenberg played Princess Diana. She previously played her in A Royal Romance: Charles and Diana almost a decade before.
