This film, about a suave conman is well made when it comes to production value and such, but the problem is that the film tries too hard in being funny.
Peter Haber does a great job as director and conman, and it's not his fault that this doesn't function. He isn't overplaying, even though the scrip or instruction obviously demands this. But the others in the film is really suffering from a old fashioned theatric instruction. maybe this is done because this is supposed to be going on several decades ago, when theater was quite different from today, also in film. but this is quite disturbing today to see this over acting.
If the film had not been suffering from this, it could actually be quite OK. so as such, it's quite a pity.
This film is made by quite experienced film maker Mats Ahren, and I would think he would be able to do much better. Stilll he has shown many times, that this isn't his best side as a film maker.
So the film is OK, even charming, if you can stand this, otherwise you'll feel it's rubbish.
