In the film, we are watching A Wandering in Florina, where his last controversial film is shown, with religious protests. This is a reference to Writer and Director Theodoros Angelopoulos' experience with The Suspended Step of the Stork (1991). A local metropolitan thought the screenplay was anti-national, and called forth his flock to obstruct the director to shoot the film.
