"Animal, animals" is another distinguished documentary by French filmmaker Nicolas Philibert, in which he again finds an original way to approach his subjec. The documentary is somehow sinister, with light found in one strange place, as Philibert covers the restoration of the zoology gallery of the National Museum of Natural History in Paris by specialists that become truly artists, as they add feathers, fluff, paint and reshape old specimens that "have lost their grace" after years since they went through the taxidermy process. Quite appropriate use of a beautiful music score by Philippe Hersant.
