- TriviaDuring the midst of working on Superman: The Animated Series (1996), the WB network approached the creative team asking them if they could do more episodes of Batman, which would air alongside Superman, since the contract to air Batman: The Animated Series (1992) on Fox was set to expire in 1997. To freshen the look of the new show, the art style was revamped from the "Batman: The Animated Series" style to a more consistent and fluid animation, as well as to keep similarity with "Superman: The Animated Series". Many of the characters took on different designs for the series. Some fans of the previous series had trouble accepting the new designs and as a result the show is remembered more for the character designs.

Bruce Wayne: What?

- Alternate versionsAlthough this show goes by "Batman: The Animated Series Volume 4" on video, the original intro from "The New Batman/Superman Adventures" can be seen as a bonus feature if the viewer selects "Play All" on the DVD's main menu, in addition to the original BTAS intro.

This a great update of Batman: The Animated Series. Batman is back after a few years of reruns and he is just as cool as ever. Dick Grayson is also back, but he is now Nightwing. Replacing him as Robin, is Tim Drake. Batgirl is also seen more in this show. The animation doesn't measure up to Batman: The Animated Series, it is more similar to the Superman cartoon. But who cares? The show has great stories and is wonderful delight, as opposed to many of Kids Wb's lame toons.
