Bloody Beast

There is SOMETHING appealing about this flick. Perhaps it's the overall tone or maybe the fact that all the rapist's victims are mothers. Such single-minded focus tends to up the likeability factor for me because it tells me the director has a philosophy.

Set in Mainland China, a rapist is abusing the local ladies while an inept constabulary closes in on him.

One attack, where he leaps on a woman from a tree, shows a reasonable degree of cinematic showmanship and and the film's unrelenting nature keeps it interesting.

But the film is not well made and the performances are lacklustre.

Try DAUGHTERS OF DARKNESS instead if you want real perversion.
