Éric Rochant, super-producer and creator behind the hit French spy drama “The Bureau,” is set to team with Tomorrow Studios on his U.S. television debut.

Rochant will serve as showrunner and executive producer on the untitled espionnage series, which will center on the lives of intelligence officers from different countries who are involved in missions. They are allies or enemies in the big carousel of intelligence, both in the field and in cyberspace. ITV Studios will distribute the series internationally.

Tomorrow Studios, which was formed from a partnership between Marty Adelstein and ITV Studios, recently announced a series order of “10-Year-Old-Tom” through Work Friends, its new animation studio with Nick Weidenfeld.

Netflix released the trailer for the new drama “Safe” starring Michael C. Hall and also announced the series will be added to the streaming platform on May 10. The show, from best-selling crime thriller novelist Harlan Coben, stars Hall as a widowed surgeon who discovers dark secrets about the people around him following his teenager daughter’s disappearance. Sarah Jeffery, Thomas Doherty, and Dylan Playfair will all reprise their roles in the upcoming Disney Channel Original Movie “Descendants 3.” Jeffery returns as Audrey, the daughter of “Sleeping Beauty,” after appearing in the first film and being referenced, but not shown, in the 2017 sequel. Doherty and Playfair portray Harry and Gil, members of Uma’s (China Anne McClain) pirate crew.

French actress starred in Cannes titles A Self-made Hero and Polisse.

French actress Sandrine Kiberlain has been named president of the Caméra d’or at this year’s Cannes Film Festival (May 17-28).

Kiberlain and jury will award a prize to a director’s first work from the Official Selection, the Directors’ Fortnight or Critics’ Week .

Since 1978 the prize has gone to films including Stranger than Paradise by Jim Jarmusch (1984), Suzaku by Naomi Kawase (1997), The White Balloon by Jafar Panahi (1995), Hunger by Steve McQueen (2008) and Beasts of the Southern Wild by Benh Zeitlin (2012).

Last year, Houda Benyamina won the Caméra d’or for her film Divines screened in the Directors’ Fortnight.
