Cynthia Rothrock claimed that some of her costars had such difficulty remembering their lines while filming that portions of dialogue were written down and taped to her forehead for the actors to read.

John Miller and Don Niam underwent considerable bodybuilding to prepare for their roles. The oft-derided quality of their showdown is partially attributable to both performers actively flexing in every shot with their shirts off, making their movements noticeably stiff.
The knife Stingray uses in the final fight scene is the same kind of knife used in Cobra, staring Sylvester Stallone. That knife was commissioned by Stallone from Herman Schneider, the legendary custom knife maker.
