The show starts with characters watching a show called "Father Ben". "Father Ben" has the exact same opening titles as "Father Ted" except the word "Ted" is changed to "Ben", even the music is the same. The characters, sets and costumes in "Father Ben" all lampoon those of "Father Ted".

While fiddling about with the bomb, Richie does an impression of Dougal ("All right, I'm with you now, Ted") and Eddie responds by impersonating Ted.

The Lovely Girls Competition from Father Ted is spoofed in the Bad Boyz short film.
