i remember seeing this when it was broadcast in the mid nineties and thinking how fresh, funny and honest it was. It's stuck with me ever since. A young cast of unknowns and a genuinely moving story of racial problems and young love in Bradford in Yorkshire. The writing was tough and true and full of life it was. It's ashame that this kind of work does not get made as often as it should with TV being obsessed with cops and docs. For me at the time it was great to see life that was dramatised and felt real. The director did a fantastic job with such young inexperienced acting and the settings were evocative. It's a shame its not available on DVD as it would be a great piece of social history one day. Weaving as it does the inter-racial world that exists in Towns like Bradford. really really great drama!
