This film was originally conceived in the 1970s by Green Acres (1965) creator Jay Sommers and writer Dick Chevillat as a spin-off starring recurring character Arnold Ziffel the pig.
The movie poster features a skyline of the city of St. Louis, though none of the film was actually filmed there.
Tom Lester (Eb Dawson on Green Acres (1965)) appears as a Truck Driver. Jay Sommers, who created the sitcom with producer Paul Henning and developed with Dick Chevillat, offered Lester the role.
