Close-Up is a feature that spotlights films now playing on Mubi. Sion Sono's Antiporno (2016), which is receiving an exclusive global online premiere on Mubi, is showing from December 8, 2017 - January 7, 2018 as a Special Discovery.Few directors before or since Russ Meyer have so enthusiastically worn their art’s sexual obsessions on their sleeves as Japanese auteur Sion Sono. But if Meyer once claimed that he wasn’t interested in anything “below the belt,” Sono is the complete opposite, reveling in the upskirt wonderland of schoolgirls and women in uniform, whether it be the group suicide that opens his notorious Suicide Club (2001), the panty-shot perverts in Love Exposure (2008), or the small army of oblivious high schoolers in his ultra-violent Tag (2015). Such an obsession seemingly made him a perfect choice for the “Roman Porno Reboot Project” of Japanese movie studio Nikkatsu, an ambitious series of five movies commissioned by the legendary...

It's about time! Kelly Clarkson finally got in the passenger seat of James Corden's car on The Late Late Show and in what might be a first for the segment, she found herself on a romantic date with none other than her husband, Brandon Blackstock. Unfortunately his idea of romance is talking about reports from the farm, but it was a nice idea, and Kelly sure seemed delighted. The little jaunt to work was mostly a showcase for Kelly's voice, which is still just a delight. She and Corden jammed out and harmonized to a bunch of her hits, including "Since U Been Gone," "Because of You," "Stronger," and the newer "Love So Soft," and Kelly...

People Explains: Who Is Alabama Senate Candidate Roy Moore — and Does He Still Have a Chance to Win?
Almost nothing about Roy Moore’s candidacy for Senate has been without controversy.
First, he challenged incumbent Luther Strange, who had been appointed to replace Jeff Sessions when he was tapped by President Donald Trump to serve as U.S. Attorney General. During the primary, he waved a gun at an election eve campaign rally, lacked support from the Republican establishment and has called Islam a “false religion.”
But none of that scared off Alabama voters on Sept. 26, who supported Moore in the Republican primary runoff for Sessions’ vacated Senate seat.

Kelly Clarkson isn't afraid to speak out on anything.
In a new interview with Variety, the American Idol alum detailed her feud with RCA Records head and music mogul Clive Davis, which goes all the way back to 2004, when they disagreed over the direction of her music.
The trouble began when Clarkson and Davis argued over a song she wrote, "Because of You," on her second album Breakaway. “I was told that was a sh**ty song because it didn’t rhyme,” Clarkson said, adding that the harsh decision was delivered during a meeting.
"A group of men thought it was Ok to sit around a young woman and bully her. I was told I should shut up and sing," she continued.

Kelly Clarkson is "Miss Independent." In Variety's Power of Women La issue, the American Idol winner revealed how she managed to cut ties with her old record producer Clive Davis after a rocky history. According to Variety, RCA Records signed Clarkson after she won American Idol in 2002. Davis then took over the company in 2004, and the tension between the singer and the producer started to build. For instance, Clarkson recalled crying after Davis referred to her song "Because Of You" as "sh-ty." Clarkson wrote the song for her 2004 album Breakaway. Exclusive: Jill Soloway and Alexandra Billings Discuss How Far-ish Transgender Storytelling Has Come
In its fourth season, Transparent delves into more of the Pfefferman family ancestry and anxiety -- if the latter were possible. As the crew travels to Israel so Maura can attend a conference, the Holy Land serves as a place for revelations and realizations for everyone. Back home in California, Davina’s origin story becomes clearer as she struggles with her own illness and her place in life and stars in the first nude scene of a transperson on television.
“First, television has never seen a trans person, certainly with the age I am and with the body that I have, naked on television,” says Alexandra Billings, who plays Davina. “There is a care that Jill and the writers took -- it wasn’t about fetishizing or sexualizing, and it wasn’t desexualized. It was simple, plain conversation.”

If there was a lesson in Chicago Pd Season 4 Episode 14, it was how well do you know the people you're closest to? "Seven Indictments" really wanted us to think that Kenny Rixton was a dirty cop, while the case of the week revealed a con artist who was pretending to live a double life.
Chicago Fire found two victims at the site of an intentionally set house explosion. One was already dead, presumed to be the house's lone tenant, while the other died on his way to Chicago Med.
The only good thing to come out of this was that it gave us an all too brief Colin Donnell cameo. Any time Colin Donnell turns up anywhere it's a good thing, even if he's only there for about thirty seconds. The Med team is getting short shrift on crossovers this week, between this and Marlyne Barrett's one line in Tuesday's Chicago Fire.

by Specialist5 You might think that having the day right would be adequate. Effectively, such is not the case according to the rules so I’ll describe the variations of ordinal and cardinal results in the significance of commas in these times and dates of writing dates effectively. Ordinal results typed out completely in characters or could be written like a mix of letters and numbers. Ordinal figures created within the combo format are 1st, 2nd or 2d, 3rd, 4th, etc. Ordinal stats wrote out are next, third, fourth, etc. Constantly use ordinal numbers if the evening stands or precedes. “Once The morning stands alone or precedes the month,” convey it in one of the two ways in the above list. Notice: The key term here is “precedes.” For concentration make use of the quantity/letter mixture. Another Vfw conference is going to be to the 10th of January. Not January 10th.

The 11-minute vid serves as part dis, plea, and ad (Wu Goo alert!), as the rapper ultimately calls Shkreli's history-erasing bluff and underlines the pharma bro's villain status. "You're a real killer, man," Ghost says, referencing Shkreli's notorious Daraprim price gouging. "You don't do that to the people, man. They need [Daraprim] ... Right now you got them weak right now, because they don't even know where they're going to run to get their medicine from now. Because of you. You're a clown." Ghost's mother and sister also appear in the vid to echo the artist's message with an emotional punch:Shkreli promptly responded to Ghostface via Twitter — with hints of yet another rebuttal to come: Also, a poll, so everybody's opinions on the ongoing beefs can be known:...

As TVLine boss Michael Ausiello predicted, Gaga took home the gold, telling the audience that she felt like Cher’s character in Moonstruck.

Chicago – One potential theater-goer loves the “The Book of Mormon.” The other would rather stay home and watch old Ethel Merman YouTube videos. Pride Films & Theater offers the ultimate solution by combining both in a campy musical, “The Book of Merman.” Yep, two Elder characters from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints meets foghorn singer Ethel Merman.
Play Rating: 3.5/5.0
The show takes awhile to get in gear. It’s a cabaret style of original and Merman-esque parody songs that has the thinnest of plots, and the introduction of “The Book of Mormon” characters at first seems like a slight rip-off. But the energy and song craft of the great cast brings it home, and the very talented team of Director David Zak and Book/Songwriter Leo Schwartz took care of the rest.
