Bruce Jones wrote about the film in some length in his 2011 autobiography "Les Battersby and Me". Among his recollections, Bruce observed:
"Bob's Weekend was the toughest movie I have ever made. That might sound daft when you watch Raining Stones; or TwentyFour Seven that I did after Bob's Weekend, and see some of the scenes I do in those, but it was also such a funny film to do. I don't think I earned much if anything out of it but it was one of those scripts that probably don't come along too much in an actor's lifetime. For me acting really is about the parts you get, not the money."
