This syndicated late-night soap opera was loosely based on Jacqueline Sussan's best-selling novel, and the 1967 cult/camp classic film of the same name. The steamy soap was test marketed in only 13 cities, airing nightly from Monday to Friday.
The show aired following the "Late Show with David Letterman" on several CBS affiliates in 1994. Later, re-runs aired on the Showtime cable network.
The series never actually made it to national air across the country as the production company New World decided to cancel the project after producing and filming 65 half-hour episodes. However, the show did air for 13 weeks with 65 episodes in those selected 13 cities.
