Grown Szarik was played by two dogs: Spik and Atak (in dangerous scenes). Atak played although part of Szarik's mother Mura in first episode.

In episodes 1.2 "Radosc i Gorycz" and 1.8 "Brzeg morza" in few scenes Janusz Gajos (he was injured on the set and spent in hospital) is replaced by Henryk Matwiszyn. We see Janek only from behind and we can't see his face.
