By the years I have seen some incredible shows canceled and others don't even start airing. Examples of that are Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, and the Farm which was a projected spin of of the very successful: The Office. A lot of other shows come to mind. Those shows that were canceled had great rating numbers and still were canceled. So that is why my question comes: Why is the View still on TV? It's ratings are extremely low and their content is the probably the worst of any talk show ever. Instead of promoting intelligent discussions and thinking the hostesses screaming all over the place gives women a bad reputation.
Why is this show still on the air? The cohorts hate each other and everyone else. There is absolutely nothing constructive about this screaming match. It's ridiculous.

I was looking at the reviews to see if I should give this show a chance. The one thing I noticed is how often the reviewers who gave this above an 8 had the opinion that some conservatives wasted their time organizing bombing this show with 1 star reviews. So, I looked, and I saw that the 1 star reviews had no similarity in dates at all. They were published any time from 2005 to 2022. No cluster of any similar dates at all. I couldn't even find more then 2 that came in the same week. I even checked the 2 star reviews. Nothing.
The fact that the people who like this show don't have the intellect to check their theories before writing them in their review by doing something so simple as to check the dates, tells me I don't want to watch this. And they call others "conspiracy theorists"??? LOL! What is even funnier is that it looks like we got a bombardment of 15 people who pretty much gave downvotes to any review on this, the Tucker Carlson show, and possibly a few others. But look at the ratings this show; 2.5. So how many people do you think love this show? Not many. And yet, all of a sudden I get this many downvotes? All in a space of 2 days. Projection.

This show is absolute garbage, if you watch it you are wasting your time and brain cells. I can't even believe it's still on the air, the ONLY person i've ever seen watch it was noone as it played at my physical therapy office on the background tv because with all the mindless chattering going on they thought it was new age white noise.
I try to be open minded. I will watch almost anything and try to see the those who think differently than I do.
This show offers nothing when it comes to productive dialogue.
I have 2 teenage boys and shows like this make me fear for their future.

If there was a god in heaven this show would be taken off the air and all footage burned in a fantastic bonfire. The least intelligent and least qualified people are given the task of telling whoever has the displeasure of watching what to think and we get the results woo hoo, thank you tv!

Why can't the hosts be neutral and less judgmental with their guests. Kelly Ripa is able to do this, but this crew, no way.
They definitely express a "view". This show has become a political reality show staring Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar as the lead Political Analysts (haha). I really have no idea how this show is still on TV. They keep getting rid of any host who has a differing opinion. It's sad.

I'm sorry, but Whoopi went totally overboard for the simple fact that she can't accept a little bit of constructive criticism. But as usual, one of the women on the Morning Estrogen Overload Show reads or hears something and takes it completely the wrong way.
How can she call someone an "anonymous bitch" right after she mentioned the woman's name? They have to realize, of course, that Hollywood and the fashion world are chock full of very harsh critics. I'm sorry, but look at Whoopi's wardrobe choices compared to all the others on the show. Maybe if she would stop living in the over-sized man shirts and made a little attempt to actually look like a woman, they wouldn't have been so harsh.
Then, she goes on to say how people don't judge her by what she wears, but rather by what she says. Well, how does she think she made herself look with that immature, unnecessary, obsenity-laced tirade she went into? Gimme me a break. Whoopi just made herself look like an ass.

The View began as a fascinatingly fresh and new kind of morning show in 1997, with a collection of intelligent, successful, and vivacious women who could reflect upon current events with thought. Their "views" were varied and multi-layered, and provided unbiased television to wake us up.
In recent years, The View has become less about the virtues of its women and more about their rise to fame. As Meredith, Star, Joy, and Barbara (the four women who, until recently, stuck out 2000 episodes of the gab fest) reaped the benefits of their obviously popular show, the audience became at once disenchanted and guiltily curious. As new co hosts entered and exited, the women morphed into glossy products of the show, viewpoints became less varied and more rigid, tensions rose and The View entered into a frivolous time period of self-congratulations. All this culminating in the recent blow-out- a face lift from the network, firing Star Jones, the exit of Meredith Viera, and the hiring of Rosie O'Donnell. Viewers reached an opportunity to see these women outside of The View use their wills to say what they could never be say on ABC. Now, viewers tune in to see what's next for the show's cast- whose safe (Barbara), whose not (Elisabeth and maybe Joy), if Rosie is in or out, and if they will ever mention Star again.
In other words, viewers no longer tune in for the show but in curiosity of its politics. Sure, that means there are still ratings for The View, but fickle ones- the show has a morbidly scandalous cloud over it in recent weeks. And once the show settles down, and probably rises to even more self-congratulating heights, the fan ship will die down steadily.
That is why, while ABC still has viewer-ship, The View is in need of a serious and quick reworking. Starting off by taking a fresh look at the cast- and if all three women (meaning Joy, Elisabeth, and Rosie- Barabara is clearly off limits) are really reflective of The View's mission- do they really represent popular facets of American women? New cast members are needed, and it would be advisable not to go ahead with Rosie, as she adds to the show's recent circus act undertone. Secondly, ABC and the women would do well to focus less on the show's business ON the show and in the media, and focus on REAL current events, while really discussing their views, and not just making self-effacing or self-upholding jokes on the matters.
If The View can get through this firestorm, and come back in a fresh way, it will be better then before.

I used to love Whoopie. Back in her days of doing stand-up and acting she was great. The rest of the women on here I never had a lot of exposure to, however none of what I ever saw on this extremely left leaning show makes me want to like any of them. Never have I seen a talk show where the hosts will yell at, belittle and refuse to listen to the guests they invite on, if that guest has a contrary opinion. People wonder what is wrong with the world, this show is a shining example. At least on Jerry Springer the fights were fake....
I've never seen a show where the hosts constantly insult the guests. The guest can't get a word in edgewise, and god forbid if their opinions don't match Behar, (who is the biggest hypocrite and liar of the bunch) look out!

I have never watched such pure hate in my life. We get it.....you all hate Trump! But I thought the point of the View is being able to hear everyone's opinion and being open minded. People like these women are why this country is so divided!!!

Why is this even still on TV, it's a bunch of misinformed, inflated has-beens yelling over each other as they make up stuff on the spot to try and sound smart (they failed 100% of the time). Do civilization a favor cancel this show and destroy all footage of it so noone has to waste their time ever agin
I thought I was the only one that hated the view/the talk.
It turns out me and my enemies hate the same things.
Anytime I have to pass through the living room with this show on, I rush for my headphones so that I don;'t have to listen to it.
The show is cringe, unrealistic, biased and over the top liberal.
The Hosts steer you into agree with their views, then they have the audience clap to help reinforce an opinion or side.
It's the same as the Talk. A bunch of liberal women talking about junk in a very nice way.
Whether Eve is on this show or the other one its funny how a gangster chick can turn into a liberal passive lady just to please Caucasian middle-aged liberals.
Verdict: Just don't watch this show. It will kill your brain cells.

I do not understand why the Democrats, especially the women on the View, are acting like they do not understand how their party lost the election. The American people are tired of being lied to. The democrats always talk a good game but once elected they never follow thru. Then you have Kamala who refuses to tell the American people exactly what she stands for
People voted fir trump because you know what he stands for and he tells you. Whereas Democrats change what they stand for depending on who they are speaking to. The American people are no longer going to take this. A revolution has been born.
Are intelligent women interested In this drivel?
No way! We are too smart.
The View is psycho babble for those who haven't experienced real life, both personal and professional.
The program has a liberal bias, and Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar, are wealthy women, hypocrites with an agenda.

My mom is a big fan of this show. Every time its on she has to watch it. Every once in a while I catch a glimpse of it and it disgusts me every time I catch it. 4 women all sit around and talk about the stupid and most pointless things I've ever heard. They don't cover (well, at least not anymore) the smart or important issues. All they discuss about are stupid jokes and sexual innuendo that makes you want to shoot the T.V. Not to mention every time it is on, it seems like one of the women always has to mention something about the male part (you know). You don't have to go to prison to suffer. Hell, just watch this show. I ran out of things to say so I'm going to name names for this show. Not important; mindless; pointless; annoying; stupid;
I love this show. I am a liberal however the show fired jedediah bila. Rumor has it that is was over the HRC interview. Now I voted for HRC and I thought JB questions were fare.
In general many right wing people hate this show. This is one time I can see their point. Jedediah Bila was a good addition to the show. She wasn't an idiot and she made her point.
I hope she sues them. She made the show better than it been in years. If "The View" doesn't want to look like a liberal biased show then they need to stop firing people that are conservative.

I press "mute" whenever Sunny or Sara talk. Whoopi and Joy are enjoyable, Ana brings comedic relief, and the only person I listen to with interest is Alyssa. I am a Democrat but I appreciate how fair Alyssa is with her information and comments.
Sunny is rude and has a personality that screams "better than you." Sara is just unnecessary. I mute whenever the camera lands or her because she has nothing to add to the conversation. I mute Sunny because her input is self-serving and she kisses up to Whoopi like a dog licking her hand. In spite of the problems, I watch the show because Alyssa provides good information.

All the hosts ever do is gripe, fuss, criticize, and moan about very petty things. There are much better programs on television. This program is a waste of time! I have better things to watch! I can't believe this program is still on the air after all these years!
