1966, Romania. Nicolae Ceausescu has just come to power, the country is not yet fully drowned in the stupidity of communist propaganda. This is why it is possible such a film. A very poetic subject about a girl who does not know what she wants. She wants to be an actress like Greta Garbo or Bette Davis (Marin Moraru remembers this in the movie), she wants to love but she is too capricious and there are at least 2 men in her life... Margareta Pislaru proves she is a very good actress, not only a singer of great talent. Stefan Iordache and Emmerich Schäffer are OK. In smaller roles, Dorin Varga, Grigore Gonta, Jorj Voicu, Cornel Coman, Ileana Stana Ionescu, and my old and cherished friend, the illustrious film critic, D.I. Suchianu. An unconventional Communist film, without propaganda, and a nice music (Puica Igirosanu voice and orchestra Richard Oschanitzky).
