Heath Ledger‘s sisters came together Sunday to remember the late actor nine years after his death at the Tribeca Film Festival premiere of the documentary I Am Heath Ledger, which provides an insightful look at his life as movie star and father as well as his troubled final days.
Ledger’s older sister Kate Ledger and half-sister Ashleigh Bell posed for photos together on the red carpet with the film’s director, Derik Murray.

Will the real Henry Parrish please stand up?
John Noble made his heralded (second) return to Sleepy Hollow Friday, but not quite as his usual alter ego, Henry Parrish. Instead, the Fringe vet showed up as an amalgam of Ichabod’s memories of him — preserved in the glass jar at The Vault since the despair demon incident — mixed with the blood of the Horseman of War.
Who happened to be Ichabod at the time. (Don’t worry: The Revolutionary War captain was back to his normal self by the end of the episode.)

One of AMC’s bubble shows will live to fight another day. Turn: Washington’s Spies has been renewed for a third season of 10 episodes, to air next year.
The Revolutionary War drama has never been a huge ratings hit for AMC, but the network has stood by the well-reviewed series as a less shiny but still solid addition to its lineup. This past season, it averaged 1.6 million viewers and drew 643,000 in the adults 18-49 demographic in terms of live viewing plus seven days.
Jamie Bell, Ian Kahn, Seth Numrich, Daniel Henshall, Heather Lind, Kevin R. McNally, Meegan Warner, Burn Gorman, Angus Macfadyen, Jj Feild, Samuel Roukin, Ksenia Solo and Owain Yeoman make up the cast.

AMC’s revolution will continue: The network has picked up a second season of Turn. The Revolutionary War drama will get another 10 episodes despite airing to modest ratings this year (about 2 million viewers watched, including DVR playback). AMC hopes to, well, turn things around by pairing encores of the first season with Hell on Wheels on Saturday nights this summer to hopefully grow the show’s audience (AMC’s Breaking Bad famously launched to low ratings, then grew every year and eventually went out very strong).
“Craig Silverstein, Barry Josephson and a talented cast and crew delivered a truly distinctive and engaging premiere season.

AMC is sticking with Turn. The Revolutionary War drama, one of the cable network's two scripted debuts this year, has been renewed for a sophomore season. Turn's addition to the 2015 schedule, where it will again air 10 episodes, comes just a few days after the network gave an early renewal to Breaking Bad spinoff Better Call Saul. That drama will now debut in 2015 as well. Photos Summer TV Preview: 33 New Series on Cable and Broadcast Turn hasn't exactly lit up the ratings charts, but it has been a very consistent performer for AMC as its roster of

History is moving forward with Sons of Liberty, setting an all-star cast for its six-hour miniseries. The Revolutionary War miniseries, first announced more than a year ago, follows a defiant and radical group of young men -- Sam Adams, John Adams, Paul Revere, John Hancock and Joseph Warren -- as they band together in secrecy to change the course of history and make America a nation. Ben Barnes (The Chronicles of Narnia) stars as Sam Adams, a natural-born leader with charisma and a penchant for mischief; Ryan Eggold (The Black List) is set as Warren, a doctor and man

The title of this latest promo for 24: Live Another Day is “Every Second Counts” – but that’s not necessarily true. In this retooled miniseries version of the original show, we’re only getting 12 episodes instead of 24, thereby breaking the oft-restrictive real-time rules that first helped distinguish the 24 TV series. So to the contrary, for the first time ever, every second does Not count in this show.
What Does count is Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland), and he’s back along with Chloe (Mary Lynn Rajskub). At this point in a show whose characters and mythos has grown well beyond its core concept, having the characters we know and love back in the thrill of espionage and battle is pretty much all you need.
…And it’s a good thing, because much of what is actually shown in the promo looks like someone replaying one ...

With its first two episodes, Fox's Sleepy Hollow quickly established a tone that's unlike anything else on television: part sci-fi thriller, part campy drama, all amazing. And according to star Orlando Jones, that DNA was infused throughout the pilot script, which is exactly why he signed up to play Captain Frank Irving.
But just how much does Irving know about the supernatural 'burg he polices? That was one of the questions I posed to Jones when we met up last week to talk Sleepy Hollow secrets!
ETonline: What attracted you to Sleepy Hollow?
Orlando Jones: It's not like anything else in the one-hour world [because] it's not a soap or a procedural. Obviously I have a penchant for science fiction, having done Evolution and The Time Machine, but the idea of doing a show that doesn't fit into any genre was exciting. It's really scary but then two seconds later you're laughing and then you're delving into history...

A few weeks ago when we all got together to ask ourselves What On Earth that opening ceremony was all about, I had no idea the discussion would basically turn into The Revolutionary War Part Two. It seemed a handful of our (awesome!) British readership found my photo recap to be some kind of damning indictment of the American mind? First of all, what's British for Relax? It was all in good fun, guys. The fact is, regardless of what country hosted, that was not a very good Olympics opening ceremony. It... More >>...

Holiday TV marathons have become almost as great a tradition as Fourth of July fireworks. Wednesday’s best bet: TNT’s Dallas marathon. If you haven’t yet caught the reboot — as gloriously unruly as Larry Hagman’s eyebrows — you can watch the first four episodes (starting at 5 p.m. Et) leading into a new one at 9 p.m. Et. It’s already been picked up for a second season, so it’s safe to get invested.

There are those on the right who have said that Game Change is a partisan smear. At the same time, some on the left may have gone into the program expecting a SNL-style “look-how-dumb-Palin-is” work of predictable affirmation. But while hit jobs and hagiographies might make for effective 30-second political ads, they can’t sustain a two-hour block of television. Game Change, by contrast, is a gripping (though by no means perfect) two-hour block of television. But the term “block of television” does not necessarily carry the same connotations as “TV movie.” The distinction here is important. Game Change’s central thesis is not a political point about either John McCain or Sarah Palin as candidates (what could a TV movie possibly say that’s new or urgent in this respect?), but is instead a lamentation about how our political landscape is determined (on all sides of the ideological spectrum) by the media cycles of Celebrity...

2Mfos Unrated DVD ArtDirector/writer: Tim Sullivan.
2001 Maniacs: Field of Screams is a follow-up to director Tim Sullivan's previous film, 2001 Maniacs, which was released in 2005. This second film is being distributed by First Look Studios on DVD and the film stars Bill Moseley (Babysitter Wanted), Lin Shaye (Dark Moon Rising) and Chrisa Campbell (Day of the Dead). The film clocks in at a short eight-six minutes and the film is really a silly, send-up of characters and cliches from the South. More comedy than horror, 2001 Maniacs: Field of Screams is a mostly fun film experience, with gratuitous nudity and gore the tools Sullivan uses to entertain.
In summary, 2001 Maniacs: Field of Screams follows a group of Southern rebels and patriots who are looking for revenge after their countrymen have been killed, or mutilated in The Revolutionary War. So, this travelling group of hillbillies and rednecks tour the lower states in search of Northern victims,...
