This short marks the return of legendary comedy director Del Lord. He was brought back to Columbia's shorts department in 1946 to direct additional two-reelers for producer Hugh McCollum, especially ones that starred Hugh Herbert since he refused to work with fellow director Edward Bernds. Lord would leave the studio for good in 1950.
