Much has been said about Daredevil: Born Again's creative overhaul, though we may never know the full extent of what changed. However, the fate of Foggy Nelson might have been one of the biggest sticking points for Marvel Studios.

In the previous iteration of the series, it's believed Foggy was killed - potentially off-screen - prompting Matt Murdock to give up being a costumed vigilante for almost the entirety of the show's first season. Terri Miller and Andrew Marlowe, who developed the Queen Latifah-led reboot of “The Equalizer” and served as showrunners for its first two seasons, have signed with Independent Artist Group.

Miller and Marlowe produced “The Equalizer,” which returns for its fifth season on Oct. 20, via their MilMar Pictures banner. The series’ 2021 premiere episode, which launched after the Super Bowl, reached more than 20 million viewers.

Prior to reviving that franchise, Miller and Marlowe created the crime dramedy “Take Two.” The show starred Rachel Bilson, a former star of a hip cop series who realizes that her acting abilities make her a skilled detective. The show premiered on ABC in the U.S. and ran for one season.

There are three generally accepted rules for living a long and happy life. 1) You don’t spit into the wind. Where Did Ballerina Come From?

This film began life way back in 2017 as a stand-alone film. Shay Hatten wrote an action script with a female lead called Ballerina. The lead would be a ballerina assassin who goes on a revenge killing spree.

People massively underestimate Arnold Schwarzeneggers acting abilities; hes proven with movies like Maggie and The Terminator that hes not just a one-note action hero. Schwarzenegger started out as a bodybuilder before making the transition to acting, and as with anyone who comes to acting from another field whether that field is music, wrestling, or something else his dramatic capabilities have been consistently underrated. Theres a misconception that Schwarzenegger plays the same character in every movie, like Dwayne The Rock Johnson, but thats simply not true. Schwarzenegger has played all kinds of roles, from a killer cyborg to a pregnant man.

Schwarzenegger certainly has a familiar on-screen persona that can be seen in a lot of his action movies, like Commando and The Expendables saga, and that on-screen persona is a lot of fun to watch. But hes shown time and time again that hes capable of so much more than that.

Francis Lawrence's 2007 post-apocalyptic drama "I Am Legend" is based loosely on the celebrated 1954 novel by Richard Matheson. The original novel is set in the near future of 1976 when a destructive war has ravaged the Earth, and a horrible virus has infected the survivors. The virus transforms its victims into pale-skinned, nocturnal ghouls with an appetite for human blood, more or less making them vampires. The novel follows Robert Neville, seemingly the last human alive, as he tries to survive in a ravaged Los Angeles and study the virus during the daylight hours. The title comes from the novel's famous twist ending.

"I Am Legend" was adapted to film in 1964 as "The Last Man on Earth," and in 1971 as "The Omega Man," before Lawrence's 2007 version. Lawrence's version transposes the action to New York and makes Neville (Will Smith) into a surviving virologist attempting to come up with a cure for the vampire virus.

The late 1990s had an odd fascination with the Devil and the end of days that gave audiences all kinds of crazy films with varied levels of success. Most of these seemed to come out right around 1999, the end of the millennium when people were starting to panic. However, some of these end of days films came out earlier and set the trend. 1997 was an odd year that saw the release of Dante’s Peak, The Devil’s Own, Volcano, the original Open Your Eyes, Seven Years in Tibet, and a bunch more. There was a trend for the end of days, but also a search for religion which then led to the perfect storm of both with The Devil’s Advocate (watch it Here), a bit end of days, a bit of religious mayhem, and a whole lot of cautionary tale.

In Wolfgang Petersen's 1997 thriller "Air Force One," Harrison Ford plays President James Marshall, the rare commander-in-chief who is just as capable at punching a-holes in the jaw as he is at policy. Although the Cold War was over by 1997 — the Russian coup d'état happened in 1991 — Russians were still a handy movie "bad guy" in American cinema for a few extra years. As such, the bad guy in "Air Force One" was a bitter Russian jerkwad named Egor Korshunov (Gary Oldman) who felt the collapse of the Soviet Union could still be undone. President Marshall didn't take kindly to Korshunov's attempts to hijack Air Force Once, and the President kills multiple Russian goons over the course of the movie.

The film ends with Korshunov and Marshall grappling near an open cargo bay door, engaging in an action movie's usual round of merry fisticuffs. Before dispatching with Korshunov, Marshall angrily yells "Get off my plane!

The end of the 1990s was an odd time for cinema and in general. We were in the midst of Y2K, a panic over clocks and computers needing to roll over from 99 to 00, something people feared more than monsters and cults, something people really feared and fearmongered about. It was expected to be something of an apocalypse by some. So of course, Hollywood ran with it. The 1996 American film The Craft has an excellent cast which has gone on to feature in a multitude of movies and TV shows since its release. The Craft follows four outcast teen girls with supernatural abilities who come together to form a coven and take revenge on the people who have wronged them. The film did surprisingly well at the box office, grossing over $50 million against its $15 million budget, and it has since become a cult classic. Though it did not win any major awards, the film received mostly positive reviews from critics and was a hit with audiences.

Part of the reason for The Craft's continued interest is its outstanding cast. The film's four stars, Robin Tunney, Fairuza Balk, Neve Campbell, and Rachel True, carry the load, but the rest of the film's actors put in solid performances as well. The Craft is also one of the scariest...

Miriam Margolyes writes in her new memoir, “Oh Miriam! Stories from an Extraordinary Life,” that Steve Martin was “horrid” to her on the set of Frank Oz’s 1986 “Little Shop of Horrors” movie musical (via HuffPo UK). Martin played the sadistic dentist Orin Scrivello, while Margolyes, best known these days for playing Professor Sprout in the “Harry Potter” film series, starred as his character’s assistant. They shared a musical number, “Dentist!,” in which his character slams a door in her face. Apparently he did so for real.

“During my only musical number (‘Dentist!’) I was hit all day by doors opening in my face; repeatedly punched, slapped, and knocked down by an unlovely and unapologetic Steve Martin,” Margolyes writes. “Perhaps he was method acting – and came home grumpy with a splitting headache.”

The Gabrielle Union-starring rom-com The Perfect Find and new seasons of deceptive baking sensation Is It Cake? and The Witcher, marking the beginning of the end of Henry Cavill’s starring run, are some of the much-anticipated titles still set to come to Netflix this month.

In The Perfect Find, Union plays a fashion editor who, after a public breakup and career implosion, starts working for her former rival Darcy Hill (Gina Torres) and catches the eye of a younger videographer (Keith Powers), who happens to be the boss’ son. As a romance blossoms, Union’s character begins to question what she really wants from the next phase of her life. The film, directed by Numa Perrier, is based on Tia Williams’ award-winning novel of the same name and also stars Janet Hubert, D.B. Woodside, Aisha Hinds, La La Anthony and others.

As we creep towards summer, Netflix has a hot new list of fresh content, including the final season of “Never Have I Ever,” the sophomore season of ‘Human Resources” and the highly anticipated sixth season of “Black Mirror.”

Kicking off the start of the month on mega streamer are lots of family-friendly goodies like both “Nanny McPhee” and “Nanny McPhee Returns,” “Kicking and Screaming,” “Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius” and the “Angry Birds Movie.” But the adults won’t be left out of the conversation, as more mature flicks and series like “Jarhead,” “Funny People” and “We’re the Millers” are also hitting the platform this month.

Miriam Margolyes’ acting career includes a BAFTA-nominated role in Martin Scorsese’s “The Age of Innocence,” “Reds,” “Mulan,” “Call the Midwife” and a lot more, but it’s her appearance as Professor Sprout in two “Harry Potter” movies that have made her a recognizable face across the world — not that Margolyes cares too much for the beloved franchise.

Speaking to Vogue UK for a new profile, Margolyes acknowledged that her two “Harry Potter” movies introduced her to an entire new generation of young people but said the franchise “doesn’t mean as much to me as it does to them.”

“For me, ‘Harry Potter’ wasn’t important,” Margolyes said. “I was very glad I got the part and I enjoyed being in it and meeting all the people, but it’s not Charles Dickens.”

Warning: Spoilers For Netflix's Arnold Below!Netflix's Arnold reveals that Arnold Schwarzenegger slowed down his action movie output during the '90s for some very understandable reasons. The second episode of Arnold finds Schwarzenegger recounting his time as a movie star, covering everything from his (terrible) debut in 1970's Hercules In New York to "peaking" with Terminator 2's huge success. Arnie found himself in the right place at the right time when it came to movies, as his outsized persona and physique made him perfect for the action films that emerged in the '80s.

Arnold Schwarzenegger's action movies always delivered explosions and witty one-liners aplenty to audiences, and his '80s output includes classics like The Terminator, Commando and Predator. In Arnold, his rival Stallone admits Arnold won their box-office feud, with the two trying to outdo each other constantly in terms of bodycount or who had the biggest muscles.

Netflix gained a new competitor last month (sort of) when HBO Max and Discovery+ combined forces to create the confusingly-named Max. With its list of new releases for June 2023, however, Netflix doesn’t have too much to worry about.

This month is filled with some major Netflix original titles, not the least of which is The Witcher season 3 volume 1 on June 29. Though star Henry Cavill is set to leave the Polish folklore/video game adaptation in season 4, he remains very much entrenched as the titular Witcher in this next go-around. Other big TV hits include Manifest season 4 part 2 (June 2), Big Mouth spinoff Human Resources season 2 (June 9), and animated King Kong series Skull Island (June 22). That’s not even to mention the return of Black Mirror season 6. That still has yet to receive a release date but we have no doubt it will be properly epic once it arrives.

The wacky animated film “Nimona” also arrives on the world’s largest streamer next month. The movie follows a shapeshifter sidekick to the villain Lord Blackheart. After his boss gets in trouble with Sir Ambrosius Goldenloin, who is charged with keeping the peace in a futuristic fantasy kingdom, Nimona has to become a new kind of hero for a new kind of fairy tale. The film arrives June 30 on Netflix.

The success of The Terminator set Schwarzenegger on an epic run of action hits, from Commando to Predator and True Lies. For many, Arnie's stardom could only have come about during that decade, when his bodybuilder physique, thick accent and unique charisma made him a movie star unlike any other before him. It helped that Arnie excelled in action roles, and had a way with dry one-liners. His stardom waned somewhat towards the end of the '90s when the likes of Batman & Robin and End Of Days ended up as financial disappointments.

Following the success of Terminator 3: Rise Of The Machines, Schwarzenegger took a surprise detour into politics. He became the Governor of California in 2003 and held the office until 2011. Naturally, that ruled him out of movie roles, outside of brief...

I’ll always have a soft spot for the horror of the late ’90s. It wasn’t the best of the decade, but it does contain that silly and ambitious mix of dark edginess and psychological tension. Coming somewhat from the boom of the ’90s type of thriller, the religious horror resurgence came out of changing tastes. And though it didn’t all work out, there was a style and tone that I’ll always love. So what happens when an action superstar tries to grow while the genre around him changes into a different beast? You get the ridiculous but damn fun End of Days (watch it Here) on this episode of The Black Sheep.

Had Warner Bros. given Joel Schumacher an extra year to develop and shoot "Batman & Robin," it's reasonable to expect that he would've turned around another agreeably campy lark on par with "Batman Forever;" ergo, from the fans' perspective, it's probably a blessing that the studio rushed him from 1996's "A Time to Kill" straight into his second Dark Knight yarn. Had Schumacher been granted more time to refine the film with screenwriter Akiva Goldsman, he might've stuck with the franchise — which, spinning this alternate timeline forward, could've knocked George Clooney out of Steven Soderbergh's "Out of Sight" and obviated the need for Christopher Nolan's "Batman Begins." A series-hobbling Bat-bomb is a more than acceptable tradeoff here.

There were, however, certain elements of "Batman & Robin" that were always going to fall flat, most notably the casting of Arnold Schwarzenegger as Mr. Freeze. Had Warner Bros. been smart...

There are a few side quests in Dead Space Remake. These side quests add more lore to Isaac’s world, as well as give Isaac more loot to make his horrific journey through the Ishimura a bit easier. The “You Are Not Authorized” is one of them, and it will have Isaac searching out the Rig suits of former officers in order to attain a better authorization code.

Along with the hosts of upgrades available in the Dead Space Remake are new side quests that flesh out the story of what happened on the Ishimura. Some will follow Nicole, but this one will highlight the other officers on the Ishimura. With the quest completed, Isaac will be able to attain a Master Override code that will allow him to gain far more loot than he would otherwise, including a lot of the new upgrades for Isaac's weapons.

He was 55. Mitchell was the twin brother of Gregg Mitchell, the WGA West’s events manager.

Rob Mitchell worked in the entertainment industry for over three decades, encompassing finance, production, distribution, operations, development and strategic planning. Over the course of his career, he was involved in the production, finance and distribution of 40 films, which reportedly grossed 2.3 billion in worldwide box office.

Mitchell died unexpectedly July 28 of a pulmonary embolism at his home in Thousand Oaks, his twin brother, WGA West events manager Gregg Mitchell, announced.

During the course of his career, Mitchell was involved in the production, finance and distribution of some 40 films; collectively, they grossed 2.3 billion at the worldwide box office.

Since 2008, he was the CFO at Bold Films, where he oversaw finance activities for the indie outfit, responsible for its operations and production slate.

There, Mitchell worked on the Jake Gyllenhaal starrers Nightcrawler (2014), Stronger (2017) and The Guilty (2021), plus Legion (2010), Drive (2011), Whiplash (2014), No Escape (2015), The Neon Demon (2016), Shot Caller (2017), Colette (2018) and Vox Lux (2018).

National treasure Margolyes has resurrected her claim that Arnie deliberately farted in her face during the making of the 1999 film End of Days. But could she have an ulterior motive?

The 1999 film End of Days has almost zero redeeming features. Slung together out of a cynical desire to cash in on premillennial angst, it is known as the movie in which Arnold Schwarzenegger literally fights Satan. It is dismal, it effectively signalled the decline of Schwarzenegger as an action star and it does not deserve to be remembered by anyone at all.

Except perhaps it does. Because, thanks to an anecdote from one of the film’s actors, End of Days deserves to go down in history for one very important reason. It was, allegedly, the film during the making of which Arnold Schwarzenegger deliberately farted in the face of Miriam Margolyes.

After working with him on the supernatural action movie, Margolyes said that she “[doesn’t] care for him at all, noting that he is “a bit too full of himself” and a Republican.

The holiday season is almost here and Amazon Prime is getting in the mood with its list of December 2021 releases. Sure there are the usual Christmas movies to be found but the real gift this month are two big original titles.

The sixth and final season of beloved sci-fi series The Expanse premieres on Dec. 10. Amazon is doing its usual release strategy of three episodes on the premiere day followed by a weekly schedule so there’s still some time to be spent with the crew of the Rocinante. The other big ticket item is the Desi and Lucy biopic Being the Ricardos on Dec. 21. Sure, Aaron Sorkin seems to be completely disinterested in I Love Lucy and Nicole Kidman bears no passing resemblance to the iconic comedienne whatsoever but uh…it’s a movie!
