Globo TV bought the rights of the original novel to produce Once We Were Six (2019). This now prevents SBT and Record TV from broadcasting any reruns of this version or Éramos Seis (1977). However, some actors returned in the 2019 version as to pay homage.
The soundtrack was released together with the songs from As Pupilas do Senhor Reitor (1995) in one album.
