As the title suggests, LOVE FOR SALE is set in a brothel, where three guys get serviced. This ho-hum effort is reissued on Vol. 93 of Something Weird's Dragon Art Theatre series.
Porn stalwart Rick Cassidy plays it straight as one of the threesome, who are presented by the overweight madam named Amaryllis with 4 girls to choose from. The fourth girl (unpicked) turns out to be a non-sex performer, who instead does a Carmen Miranda dance to kill time.
Acting is pretty miserable, with Rachel seeming to act like a Saturday Night Live grotesque caricature, perhaps a Kristen Wiig creation.
It's basically an all-sex porn film, going through the motions in various positions. Part of one reel was rewound incorrectly before doing a video transfer, so we get to suffer through upside down/backwards footage. Not exactly Something Weird's finest hour.
