Jurm released in 1990 is adapted from English movie someone to watch over me and a part of the film is adapted from another English movie the witness (1985). A great film, an edge of the seat thriller, directed brilliantly by veteran mahesh bhatt, the main usp of the film is strong script, brilliantly written characters and strong actors. Vinod khanna and all other performers do well. Anang desai is brilliant and convincing as villain. Anang desai's performance makes the film interesting and takes it to another level. Anang desai deserved more good roles. His talent should have been utilized more by bollywood directors. Although he has got good roles in tv. The script of jurm is complexed and full of grey shades. Each scene is weaved beautifully and raises a question that whom to trust...? Vinod meenakshi sangita anang omshiv shafi and all other characters are constantly doubting each other, which is not shown directly but in an undercurrent of the script, it's visible. That feeling makes jurm a brilliant thriller. This film should be remaked.
