It was at the Filmfare awards when Nadeem Shravan won the award for best music director. It was as the same night that Nadeem Shravan declared war against Zeba Bhaktiar due to a comment made about the films music. A ghazal was played in the background. It was pretty evident to everyone in attendance the ghazal bore a striking resemblance to Nadeem Shravan's song "Tumhe Apna Bana Ne Ki Kasam". When Zeba was called on stage to present the award for best music ,she remarked the ghazal in question had been heard in every lane of Pakistan a long time ago. Now she is hearing a Hindi song with the same tune being played in every lane in Bombay. This statement angered Nadeem Shravan. They took it as a insult that Zeba was openly saying Nadeem Shravan copied a Pakistani song. The music duo were upset Zeba made a comment like that in a public platform. They decided to never give music to any of her films. But soon did for Stuntman.
"Tumhe Apna Banane Ki Kasam" was inspired from 1983 Pakistani song "Chalo To Kat Hi Jayega Safar Ahista" by Musarrat Nazir, from the album Meri Pasand. Channi Singh from Alaap was also inspired from this song and did his own version titled "Ahista Ahista" from the album Ahista Ahista - Let Me Love You.
