Mahesh Bhatt was unhappy with the behavior of Aditya Pancholi of the sets of the film in 1990. And Bhatt later refused to direct 'Khilona (1996)' for this reason.
The main role was first offered to Sanjay Dutt
Aditya Pancholi's character is based on Tony Montana from Scarface. Mithun's movie Mujrim,Amitabh's movie Agneepath and Shatrughan Sinha's movie Atishbaz were all inspired from Scarface.
Surprise hit which was suppose to turn Aditya Pancholi into a bigger star in the film industry.
Deepak Tijori was offered the film but turned it down. Raju Shrestha was then signed.
