Twenty-five years after “Buddy Holly,” Rivers Cuomo still remains peerless in his ability to get you humming a line like “leave a five star review and I’ll leave one too” until the only way to un-hum it is by stabbing yourself in the thigh with the nearest sharp object. The 13th Weezer LP is full of such confounding moments. It arrives just two months after the band followed up their surprise hit version of Toto’s “Africa” with The Teal Album, an all-covers set that felt a little like...

Warning: The following Q&A contains major spoilers for The Blacklist‘s Season 5 fall finale. Proceed with caution.
During its four previous seasons, The Blacklist put Tom Keen through the physical and emotional wringer time and again — and he somehow survived all of it.
Getting tortured and stabbed in the pilot episode? No problem. Tied up and left to waste away on a boat in Season 2? Piece of cake. Chased by assassins at his own Season 3 wedding? Bring. It. On. (He even survived the cancellation of his spinoff series, which is perhaps the most impressive of all.)

The upcoming “Game of Thrones” Season 7 finale, “The Dragon and The Wolf,” will likely be the series’ most-watched episode to-date. Even if it falls shy of the big Nielsen numbers that have been pouring in lately, the not-yet-leaked 67th episode in series history will surely be “Thrones'” top season finale yet. But what will it have to best just to get there? Thus far, the show’s largest season finale audience tuned in last year, when Episode 60 hauled in 8.889 million “live” total viewers. Piece of cake. The “Game of Thrones” season finales descend backwards from that high-water mark, with...

Get'cha head in the game, Zac Efron! While promoting his new movie We Are Your Friends, the former Disney star was asked to play a music game with his director Max Joseph and co-star Emily Ratajkowski. As a Cosmopolitan UK reporter began to play the introduction of songs, the group must guess the song title correctly as soon as possible. Sounds pretty simple, right? Yes, that's what we thought too. Once the game started, the trio appeared to be on a roll. Beyoncé's "Drunk In Love?" No problem! Justice vs. Simian's "We Are Your Friends?" Piece of cake. A Hole in the Head
Written by Arnold Schulman
Directed by Frank Capra
USA, 1959
As the opening credits soar across the sky, shown as flapping aerial announcements pulled along by the Goodyear blimp, the talent behind A Hole in the Head is clear. The major players in this Frank Capra film include Frank Sinatra, Edward G. Robinson, Eleanor Parker, Carolyn Jones, Thelma Ritter, and Keenan Wynn. Behind the scenes, shown in a more typical credit scrawl, there is renowned cinematographer William H. Daniels and the equally legendary costumer designer Edith Head. To say A Hole in the Head has much in its favor is quite the understatement. Yet while it may not live up to the expectations one associates with such individuals, the picture is nonetheless thoroughly enjoyable, even if it feels something like an effortless throwaway from these key contributors.

What are you waiting for then, make him appear more alive and less dead!
But, step by step, please! Let me first remind you that this project comes from director Jonathan Levine and is actually an adaptation of Isaac Marion‘s debut novel of the same name. Warm Bodies is some strange mix of horror and romance and is set to open on February 1st,...

No doubt about it, 2011 brought some of our all-time favorite superheroes to the big screen for the very first time.
We have our favorites, of course, but the question is, who was your favorite superhero of 2011? Click past the jump to see our candidates and make your voice heard!
Captain America
It's never easy bringing a superhero to the big screen, but Cap posed an unusual problem even by comic book movie standards: how do you sell the star-spangled super-soldier to an international audience? In the end, it wasn't so tricky, as the relatable story of scrawny weakling turned perfect human specimen Steve Rogers landed fantastically with audiences across the world, thanks largely to Chris Evans'...

Calm yourselves! We know it's the finale and you're dying to see who won the whole shebang, but seriously, if you just end up scrolling to the bottom to see who's name is there, you're being rude. Plus, some shocking news was revealed before it all came down to one, so let's get this party started... Easy, Breezy, Beautiful: The final three head into familiar territory in tonight's episode. Each girl was asked to do a beauty shot for a Cover Girl ad and then a commercial for Shadow Blast. Piece of cake, right? Well, kind of. Lisa kept sounding like a used car salesman, Allison's eyes were watering up a storm, and Angelea has a little too much personality. Shocker! Vogue...

Movie:
As a film critic, you don’t like to admit certain movies you may have missed. Blue Velvet was one of my dirty little secrets. When I worked at a video store in high school, I gave it a chance. I was about to hit play on the Vcr when a friend wanted to go out. That’s it. I never got around to watching it. Thankfully, the 25th Anniversary Blu-ray showed up on my doorstep and changed that.

Yeah, that headline is a little sick when you think about it in context. Today, David Lynch’s Blue Velvet is released on Blu-Ray by 20th Century Fox/MGM. Not only is it the first time the film enters into high definition but among the special features of the disc is something fans will love – 50 minutes of previously lost footage.

With only two weeks left to visit Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights, our thoughts are already turning to next year, wondering what the creators of the annual fright-fest will dream up next. To help them out, we’ve come up with a handy list of suggestions. Now, we understand that many movies might be tied up with copyright issues and various bureaucratic bric-a-brac, but setting those aside, these are scare zones that could be both inventive and absolutely terrifying. Some might be movies, others games, others just suggested people whose works one could draw from. But the one thing they all have in common is the ability to scare your eyes out your butt.

The combination of words "Dwayne Johnson thriller" and "Susan Sarandon" isn't exactly something we would have expected, but the actress has never been one that is easily pinned down. She's a player with The Lonely Island crew, will appear in "I Hate You Dad" with Adam Sandler next summer, and is currently filming "Cloud Atlas" with The Wachowskis and Tom Tykwer. So, starring in "Snitch"? Piece of cake. THR reports that the actress has boarded the developing thriller for The Rock and it's some interesting material. Written and directed by Ric Roman Waugh (”Felon”), the project, which has been knocking…...

The cake looks cool, but I can't help but think it tastes like crap. ...

Dianna Agron has explained her "Likes Girls" t-shirt she donned while performing "Born This Way" during a "Glee" tour stop in Toronto over the weekend. After sparking rumors that she's a lesbian, the Quinn Fabray of the popular series insisted that she wore the shirt merely to commemorate Gay and Lesbian Pride Month.
"Yesterday, during our second show, instead of wearing my usual shirt during 'Born This Way' I decided to wear one that said 'Likes Girls'," the 25-year-old blond beauty explained on her Tumblr account to clarify the issue. "It should actually have read, 'Loves Girls', because I do."
The Georgia-born starlet continued writing, "No, I am not a lesbian, yet if I were, I hope that the people in my life could embrace it whole-heartedly." She added, "And let me tell you, I can easily spill (quite comfortably) what I admire, respect and think is beautiful about any...

Dianna Agron has been forced to set the record straight on speculations about her sexual preference. Words started to circulate that the Quinn Fabray of "Glee" is a lesbian after she wore a t-shirt that said "likes girls" while performing the "Born This Way" number during a live show in Toronto last Saturday, June 11.
Putting the rumors to rest, the 25-year-old actress posted a lengthy post on her Tumblr blog. "Yesterday, during our second show, Instead of wearing my usual shirt during 'Born This Way' I decided to wear one that said 'Likes Girls'. It should actually have read, 'Loves Girls', because I do. The women in my life give me things that the men in my life can't. And vice-versa," part of her entry read.
The Sarah Hart of "I Am Number Four" went on to deny rumors that she is a lesbian. Still, she managed to point out,...

Over the course of three (soon to be four) "Pirates of the Caribbean" movies, we've seen the likes of Captain Jack Sparrow, his merry band of pirate pals and even his most cutthroat foes battle their way through extraordinary circumstances involving undead privateers, legendary sea creatures and man-eating tribal warriors.
So, really, in the grand scheme of things — Sparrow versus the wonderful world of Legos? Piece of cake.
For your viewing enjoyment, MTV News has created a fantastic stop-motion recreation of the "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" trailer using — you guessed it — Legos! Every scene from the action-packed trailer comes back to life here, albeit in a significantly more yellow and blocky flavor than you're probably used to.
Created by MTV's very own Matt Harper and Brian Jacks, our Lego "Pirates of the Caribbean" trailer utilized 80 scenes, 1,800 individual photos and more Lego action figures and set pieces than...

Green Lanterns are known for saving the galaxy on a daily basis. Fear entities? No problem. Robot invasion? Piece of cake! But what about helping out with the dangers closer to home?
In “Green Lantern,” actor Ryan Reynolds plays Hal Jordan, a normal human being who’s chosen to fulfill a great duty for the universe. But that doesn’t mean he won’t come racing back to Earth if the planet is in need. Turns out, Reynolds is taking a page out of Hal’s book.
The actor is going public to raise funds and awareness for The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s research. “Ryan is challenging You to help us reach 100,000 Facebook fans by the end of April,” according to the Mjff website. When it does, Reynolds will give $10,000 out of his own pocket to the cause.
Right now, the Facebook page is just shy of 23,000 “Likes.

He's a mean, smack-talking baby gansta chatterbox working with Pokerface. “Piece of Cake” is the title of the ninth episode, but that could change. Stars: David Lyons, James Frain, Martin Klebba, Izabella Miko, Summer Glau and Vinnie Jones. LEEE777 - The ninth episode will air March 7th NBC.

A stellar cast, including Harrison Ford and Diane Keaton, line up for the romantic comedy, Morning Glory. Here’s Ron’s review…
After being fired from her local news morning show, producer Becky (Rachel McAdams) is left without a direction. Her dream, since she was eight years old, has been to work in the TV industry, and after finishing college, she found herself doing just that.
She sends out resumes, works the phones, and generally makes a nuisance of herself until she lands a network job. Unfortunately, it's not on her dream programme, The Today Show. It's not Good Morning America. It's the little-watched Daybreak, the fourth-place network morning program on Ibs.
The show's veteran anchorwoman Colleen Peck (Diane Keaton) is a diva. The lead male anchor is a hated, lecherous pervert until Becky makes an example of him on her first day. She's left with a gaping hole in...

Lesley Manville in Another Year
Photo: Sony Pictures Classics It was a busy morning for me and my Oscar prognostication duties as I already had plans to do a bit of Best Picture shuffling after seeing Love and Other Drugs last night, a screening that would also cause me to shift my Best Actress predictions. However, I also needed to clear up things regarding Lesley Manville's performance in Mike Leigh's Another Year as I've had her listed as a Supporting Actress contender since seeing the film back in May at Cannes only to learn today that's just not the way it is... at least not right now.
Before going any further with my predictions I felt it was finally time to get a clear answer from Sony Classics and find out exactly how they were going to promote Manville's Another Year performance. For the record, I was the...

One of the greatest aspects of the grunge era was the fact that record labels were so desperate to jump onto the trend that they signed a series of clearly non-commercial bands to major deals. The fact that Sonic Youth was on a major label for years is pretty staggering, as while they are a great and legendary band, they don't have a single commercial instinct in their collective body. Even better than that? The fact that Mudhoney, the sludgiest, loudest, grungiest band to come out of Seattle, inked a deal with Reprise, and on this day in 1992, they released Piece of Cake, their major label debut.
Though some of the edges are buffed a little bit, Piece of Cake is an amazingly raw album full of Mudhoney's trademark blend of fuzzy bass tones and squealing guitars, all augmented by frontman Mark Arm's passionate yelps. Some of their more...

Keeping with tradition, Heidi Klum and Seal celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary on Saturday by renewing their vows in front of their children and a few close family members at sunset on a beach in Costa Careyes, Mexico. After the ceremony, about 80 guests joined the happy couple at their home for an outdoor reception under a palapa - an open-air, thatched-roof hut - decorated with dozens of chandeliers, thousands of candles and all white flowers. Contrary to last year's retro-themed celebration, this year's theme was a bit more traditional: guests dressed in white and black as brides and grooms. "They...

Hilary Swank can play a troubled transsexual, no prob. And an underdog boxer? Piece of cake. But ask the two-time Oscar winner to play a parrot—like Ellen did today during a game of "Celebrity - Animal Edition"—and you get one of the more confusing, disturbing, just-plain-wrong performances I've ever seen. I'd describe it as a mix between a meth-addled dolphin and one of those poison-spitting dinosaurs from Jurassic Park, with just a dash of a District 9 prawn. Check out the clip, below. So what's the deal here? My guess: Swank probably got lost in the bird house...

Jill Johnson (Carol Kane) meets with the Mandrakis family to see that their children are looked after while they head out for dinner and a movie. Piece of cake, considering the children are already sound asleep upstairs. But Jill’s seemingly mundane evening of studies and telephone banter takes a turn for the worse, when Jill begins receiving a string of eerie telephone calls from some anonymous caller in which she is unable to identify. Have you checked the children? The caller asks repeatedly. Hesitant to check on the children, anchored by fear - Jill telephones the police, who in turn arrange to have any future calls traced. As Jill continues to catch the creepy incoming calls, she begins hearing strange sounds from within the house. Before Ms. Johnson has the chance to learn the fate of the children upstairs, police phone her to inform her that those mysterious calls she’s been receiving,...
