"les Fruits Sauvages" was a nice surprise for me, a true drama about youth in the 50s issued from poor family living in buildings threatening to fall down. It all begins with the alcoholic father killed by his daughter, running away with her family and friends. They find refuge in an abandoned village like themselves and reconstruct their lives. Lot of true psychological details in the relationship between the kids, young and older, and their first love story. I was puzzled by Estella Blain, wild and sexy, she drives the whole movie. The cinematography is real sharp and there are some beautiful travellings that could have been thought by great Christian Matras, especially the most virtuoso absolutely unforgettable. The director Hervé Bromberger directed a fine movie on lost youth, talking about that theme again in "Asphalte" and "les Loups dans la Bergerie" (again in the mountain). A must see.
