For 40 years Clamp has revolutionized manga. Starting off as a doujin circle consisting of four women before making a professional debut with their Rg Veda series in Monthly Wings in 1989, the collective would go on to publish manga for all demographics — but primarily shojo manga. In that time, they brought the world some of the most iconic series that transcend gender and cultural boundaries from Cardcaptor Sakura to xxxHOLiC to Chobits to Tokyo Babylon and many more. The National Art Center in Roppongi hosted a Clamp Exhibition that celebrated their history with a showcase of artwork from throughout their career.
