Mandy burned her relationship with the journalist on Seal Team during "Takedown." Putting the mission first, she gave Paul fake information that he could publish. While he knew he was somehow being played, he didn't expect his credibility to be ruined by her and he was, understandably, angry by the end of the episode. Now there's a debate over whether Mandy did the right thing putting the mission first.

Even people who love and celebrate New Year's Eve can recognize that it is objectively awful - one must endure crowds, $13 gin and tonics, boisterous youths and, worst of all, the punishment of wearing a bandage dress after two weeks of nonstop cookie consumption. I'm not trying to be the person who takes a thing people enjoy and then is like, "Ew, here's why it's bad," but I'm also not not trying to be that person. See, I believe there's a better way. In fact, I know there's a better way. The past few years - except for a mishap...

Making a film out of a board game always causes a few raised eyebrows, but this one seems like a particularly off-the-wall idea when you first hear it. The Tracking Board reports that Big Beach Films “is developing a new film exploring the origins of the world’s most popular board games.”
Yep, it’s Monopoly: Origins (although it doesn’t yet have a title, we made that one up). The film will be based on Mary Pilon’s book The Monopolists: Obsession, Fury And The Scandal Behind The World’s Favourite Board Game.
"The Monopolists reveals the unknown story of how Monopoly came into existence," the book’s official synopsis book tells us, featuring "the reinvention of its history by Parker Brothers and multiple media outlets, the lost female originator of the game,...

Batman: Arkham Knight
Developed by Rocksteady Studios
Published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment
PC, PS4 (reviewed), Xbox One
In 2009 Rocksteady achieved what many thought was impossible; they made a genuinely good Batman game. With Arkham Asylum they created a claustrophobic atmosphere, told an enjoyable story featuring many of the caped crusader’s most notorious villains, and crafted a battle system that has been aped by everything from Shadow of Mordor to Sleeping Dogs. It wasn’t a perfect game, suffering from copy-pasted boss encounters and a couple of narrative mis-steps, but it was strong enough to inspire confidence that one day we’d get a dark knight video game that would do justice to the long-running DC Comics superhero.
Six years later and Arkham Asylum remains the best game in the Arkham series. First sequel City improved on the original by adding more villains and an impressive array of side-quests,...

Pretty Little Liars’ “Love ShAck Baby” had Hanna put on a brave face in light of her break-up with Caleb, while the girls go on an adventure to track down Ali based on clues found in her journal.
This week’s episode began with Hanna (Ashley Benson), Emily (Shay Mitchell), Spencer (Troian Bellisario) and Aria (Lucy Hale) agreeing to take turns reading Ali’s journal and marking which entries were about themselves. Ali (Sasha Pieterse), always crafty, gave everyone pseudonyms and wrote parts of her journal in code. To make matters even more complicated, the girls all have stories in the journal they’d like to keep hidden from each other. Emily takes the first turn and spends her night examining the journal, presumably reading about Ali’s flirtation with her and the kiss they shared before Emily came out to her friends. That night, Emily dreams that Ali comes...

Joss Whedon‘s Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is one of the mostly eagerly anticipated new series of the upcoming season, even with all the secrecy surrounding it. ABC has now given us just a hint more information about the season premiere, including a great guest star.
Joss Whedon has a tendency to work with actors he has worked with in the past, and this series is no exception. We told you about guest stars J. August Richards (Angel) and Cobie Smulders (The Avengers), but now we know that a member of the Firefly cast will be guest starring as well; can’t wait to see Ron Glass back on our screens.
Here’s a new behind-the-scenes featurette, plus that press release with more info:

After Marie finds out that Skyler knew all about Walt’s criminal behavior, she slaps her(!) and tries to kidnap the baby! This week, things officially get cray-cray.
Poor, Skyler (Anna Gunn). If only she had foreseen what would happen when Hank (Dean Norris) and Marie (Betsy Brandt) discovered Walt’s (Bryan Cranston) true identity, perhaps she would have turned him in to authorities when she had the chance. Now, Skyler is paying for being loyal to her husband — she’s getting physically beaten and begging her sister not to kidnap her daughter!

Last week’s episode of Nikita was shocking on multiple levels. First, it dared to kill off a fan-favorite character. Second, it dared to burn down its own house. Nikita has always been a trigger-happy show and has dared to kill off high profile characters before (R.I.P. Percy), but killing one of its white-knight heroes was earth-shattering. In addition, we all knew the days of Division being able to operate as a clandestine force for good would be short-lived with all those allegedly reformed agents chaffing under the imposed-constraints. We just did not suspect that it would be this short. Division literally imploded once the recruits figured out that their own government was coming to exterminated each and everyone of them, effectively reneging on the deal to give each a pardon in exchange for their service in tracking down the rogue Division agents.

Piranha 3Dd promised more gore, beer, sun, and naked honeys making out under water. It mostly delivered but I wish they had sunk some of the substantial profits from the superb 2010 original (actually a remake of Joe Dante’s 1978 Jaws knockoff) into it, but this new one seemed so cheap and cheesy, blowing much of their budget on D-list celebrities that everything about it screamed “bargain basement”. Many of the fish and gore effects looked cheaply produced and rushed. I didn’t even get to see it at the theater in 3D because they released it in only a few cities and on VOD the same day.
Piranha 3Dd is set a year after the events of the earlier film 50 miles away in the small Arizona town of Merkin County. The setting is Big Wet Water Park run by sleazy David Koechner who is in cahoots with the local law...

It's generally agreed that television is as good as it's ever been. Of course, there's a lot of rubbish on, as there always was, but virtually every night, year round, brings more quality comedy and drama than you could possibly hope to watch. The next few weeks alone bring the return of "Mad Men" and "Game of Thrones," two of the most acclaimed cable dramas of recent years, while "Justified" and "Luck" -- muscular, cinematic long-form tales as strong as anything the big screen has seen recently -- wrap up their seasons. Meanwhile, other favorites like "Breaking Bad," "Louie" and "Homeland" will be back before the year is out, along, we hope, with a raft of excellent new shows.
And the likelihood is that you've been watching some, if not all of these shows. The cinephile who says "Oh, I don't watch television" is becoming an increasingly rare breed. But amongst all of this,...

Imagine if the studio’s wishes had been fulfilled, and Robert Redford had been cast as Michael Corleone in The Godfather. Or imagine if Raiders of the Lost Ark had been scored by Randy Newman. What would it be like if Apocalypse Now ended with a musical number, complete with Montagnard cabaret dancers and Marlon Brando doing the cancan? As a point of clarification, that last one isn’t wishful thinking.
There have been a number of films over the years that have been 9/10 jobs, movies that manage to build themselves into potential masterpieces or classics, but put a foot wrong with tragic consequences; a film that may have been a great, but fell just short all by its own doing.
Here is a run down of four such films, and a look at the easily resolvable flaw in each that dragged them down from potential greatness.

People wearing masks often used by "Anonymous". What are Your FAve Hacking Films Of All-tme
Fox News is reporting that The New York Stock Exchange withstood a hacker attack Monday by the famous hacker group Anonymous, having only briefly affecting the NYSE website.
“NYSE.com appeared to slow down and perhaps go offline briefly between 3:35pm and 3:37pm, media reports said, but there was no interruption to trading on the stock exchange and the public website immediately returned to normal.”
Anonymous had warned earlier that its attack would come at 3:30pm on October 10.
With this news it made us wonder what some of our favorite Hacker themed films were of all-time. This is below is compiled around films that center around hacking, hackers doing something disruptive. There is a lot of films that feature “hacking” as a sub-plot but they didn’t warrant tons of consideration as these films did.

In the past decade Andrea Arnold has emerged as a promising art-house filmmaker, even if she has only two features to her name. Her 2009 film Fish Tank rightfully impressed many, thanks in no small part to Michael Fassbender's effective performance. (His follow-up to Hunger.) And if her 2006 film Red Road is less impressive overall, it is photographed and assembled so beautifully that I couldn't help but be drawn in to the dour, lonely world it depicts. Track down her Oscar-winning 2005 short film, Wasp, too. Arnold's command of visual language is enough to make me automatically interested in any new film she delivers, even if said new film is a version of the well-worn Emily Brontë novel Wuthering Heights. The picture premiered at Venice and played Tiff, where it was picked up by Oscilloscope for Us distribution. That means we'll get a chance to see it at some point in the next year.

While co-hosting for Kelly Ripa on Live With Regis and Kelly, Dancing with the Stars judge, Carrie Ann Inaba was surprised with a proposal from her boyfriend of two years. This was definitely a sweet moment, especially as it is one of the last times that Regis will be participating in a live television proposal before he leaves the show. The two are now engaged though a wedding date has not yet been set. When a date is set, hopefully the date will be kept private if that is what Inaba wants, unlike singer, Lily Allen’s wedding date. Allen’s date for June 11, 2011 in Gloucestershire, England was recently leaked to the press. Though if the leak is really such a bother, she could have limos escort her guests to a new location after meeting at the initial location. No matter what information is leaked, surely, Lily can still enjoy her day.
