The Young and the Restless spoilers for Monday, September 16, prove just how ineffectual Victor is (outside of his own mind).
Laugh It Off
Despite Victor’s (Eric Braeden) stern order for Cole (J. Eddie Peck) to stay away from Victoria (Amelia Heinle)….and Cole passing that message onto Victoria…the exes hit the sheets. And now Victoria has decided her future — without Victor’s input.
Is she doing it because she regrets ever having given Cole up? Because she is desperate to form a family with their newfound daughter, Claire (Hayley Erin)? Or because she just wants to watch Victor sputter and stammer and demand to know who allowed her to make such a decision? All are valid, but the latter would be more fun.

Well, those sneaky Hollywood studios are trying to mess with the calendar once again! Or to be more specific, the start of the seasons. For several decades they’ve wheeled out their big budget, youth-oriented tentpole/ franchise blockbusters at the start of Summer ( although a few of these sneak between Thanksgiving and Christmas ). Summer movie time had started with Memorial day weekend , but slowly it has crept up to the first weekend in May ( hey the school year’s not over yet! ). Well now it looks like Lionsgate may be trying to stretch things into Spring ( or Spring break ). And what better way to test these still a bit chilly waters than adapting a popular Young Adult ( Ya ) novel. After all, Harry Potter waved his wand for the last time this past year and another Ya series ( which I’ll discuss later ) is sending out its last flick in a few months.

Chicago – I am not (quite) yet old enough to have completely blocked out the socially treacherous days of middle school. For most kids, life is cruising smoothly until they get to middle school when cliques, popularity, and the opposite sex start to become a daily dilemma. Such is the subject matter of “Diary of a Wimpy Kid,” a cute-but-flawed family comedy with a few good laughs and strong supporting performances but generally silly tone that never quite comes together into something memorable.
Blu-Ray Rating: 3.0/5.0
It’s probably due to the nature of its source material but “Diary of a Wimpy Kid” is a remarkably episodic film, not unlike what I imagine it would be like to actually read a middle school boy’s diary. The “greatest hits” of a new dorky kid at school obviously makes for entertaining reading for young adults but it required a bit more shaping into a feature film.

We got our hands on 10 new photos and seven new clips from the Diary of a Wimpy Kid movie, opening March 19. We've consistently been a little disappointed with what's been released thus far, but not this time. There are more animated bits in the style of the books, and funny turns by the adults, particularly the scene-stealing Rachael Harris (The Hangover) who plays Greg's mom. Check them out and leave your thoughts below.
