This travelogue of the coast of Devon begins en route to the coast in the city of Bath, an ancient Roman site best known for its springs and the subsequent building of the baths, hence the name, with the present day city not built until the eighteenth century, with host Fitzpatrick getting around the city in an ancient conveyance. The first coastal town visited is Teignmouth. Pirates trying to overtake the town as part of its history has given way to resorts taking advantage of coastal recreational possibilities. Following the rugged coastline with some interesting geological formations, the final resort town on this tour is Torquay, built on a site with seven hills. Its unusual subtropical climate allows for a strong horticultural tradition. The viewer is sent off this trip with a song written and dedicated to this final stop.
