like many Romanians films of its period, it is a form of fight against pressure of politic. a lovely comedy. and it can not be a surprise or an accident because it was only way to escape from ideological command.and a not bad first step in cinema art of the director Geo Saizescu using inspired text by Tudor Arghezi. sure, the old bourgeoisie life style is the target of this film too but, like in other cases, the escape from political line is the admirable cast. Nineta Gusty, Grigore Vasilescu Birlic, Carmen Stănescu or Ion Lucian are the makers of this little gem about a small ordinary conflict between families. the characters are images of usual types, delicate drawings , interesting performance , smart exploitation of humor resources. a film who preserves the flavor of a period art. and who is always for Romanian relationship between neighbors.
