The personal history of Andrée de Taverney, the beautiful daughter of a ruined baron. Thanks to her brother Philippe, she gets to know the Dauphine and future Queen of France, Marie-Antoinette, who develops a special feeling for her and takes her to the court of Versailles. Not only does Maire-Antoinette make her her lady-in-waiting but her close friend as well. Unfortunately, both women fall in love with the same man, Olivier, count de Charny, and their privileged relationship gradually deteriorates.
