The series was made by TVS, a UK company that held a regional broadcasting franchise for broadcasting in the UK as part of the ITV commercial television network. When the company lost it's franchise in the governmental shakeup during the early 1990s, several shows that were popular that had been made by TVS were bought and continued as an ITV production but the rest of the TVS programs archive were bought and absorbed into the Disney Corporation, making a home-video release highly unlikely due to the huge rights clearance costs.
The series takes place in 2020.
Was made and intended to be shown in 1985, but was put on the shelf for two years. By the time it was shown two major cast members, Patrick Troughton and Nigel Stock, had died.
