With only four (Charlie Brown, Linus, Snoopy, and Woodstock) of the regular cast shown, this Peanuts special features the second least number of major characters. (What a Nightmare, Charlie Brown! (1978) has the least, with only two.)

One of the very few Charlie Brown specials to feature clearly-visible adults, although only briefly.

This is the only time Grant Wehr voices Charlie Brown. He was discharged from the part after Someday You'll Find Her, Charlie Brown (1981) due to his voice becoming too course for the character. Brad Kesten took over the role afterwards.
