Remake of Rajasthani movie Bai Chali Sasariye and Marathi movie Maherchi Saadi.
Rishi Kapoor heard the script and rejected it. He hated the film. It was Manmohan Desai who convinced him to sign the film. He finally agreed but when the film crashed, he regretted his decision .
The film was released with Anjaam and both were disasters.
The film released theatrically in Canada.
