The protection gang warms up by beating the street merchants. Then they accuse a man of being a follower of some general and they fight. Our man wins. He is informed about some treasure and a man is coming to help him assist the general. Some new guy arrives and fights his way to the head of the protection gang. He is hired to assassinate the general's man. He easily kills the man.
Unfortunately it doesn't end right there. Elton Chong is the lead actor as the man's son and he says "I know what to do." Instead of finding out what that is the next few scenes involve a hungry old guy trying to get some food. Mike Wong Lung then shows his skills by beating up the protection gang. Then he becomes a fortune teller. Then Elton is back and what follows is a gambling sequence. It is just sequence after sequence of random stuff with scant coherence. At this point the viewer can only hope the fights make it worthwhile. Though the fights have good power and focus they quickly become the same thing over and over again.
I am amazed by the number of reviews here for this movie. It seems at least ten people have actually watched this and that is about ten too many. Plus the only existing copy, even if bought on DVD, is just a VHS recording of a television broadcast.
I watched this once and I will never watch it again. I rate it way below average for the year and genre.

INVINCIBLE OBSESSED FIGHTER is your run of the mill kung fu film for the most part, with the odd addition of some cult and wacky elements to the plot which makes it stand out a little from the crowd. Sadly it's so cheap and slapdash overall that it's a film that's difficult to enjoy, which is no surprise given that Tomas Tang directs under a pseudonym.
The story is about the usual hunt for stolen treasure and there's plenty of low rent action to help the running time fly past. The film seems to have been shot or produced in South Korea like so many IFD films and it stars the infamously-named Elton Chong to boot. Sadly, INVINCIBLE OBSESSED FIGHTER is constrained by a very low budget and not very good fight scenes, which is a bit of a problem when there are so many of them. An interlude involving a crazy maggot-eating priest and his army of the dead is a highlight, as are the lowbrow cross-dressing antics of some of the cast.

Did you know you can actually buy this movie!! I did, the title just reeled me in with its mystical power. It was this or Chess Boxing Matrix. It was unclear to me who really is the Invincible Obsessed Fighter, but one thing was clear, most of the plot was removed from this movie to make time for the gambling human interest side story of the century!!! What a piece of work, the only way I could tell the difference between characters was the clothes they wore. Oh and Fat Ho dies before the end of the opening credits, fat load of good his 8 chopper fist did him
This movie is terrible in the best possible way. If you are a fan of bad Kung-fu, this movie is hands down the best. The only copy I know of is with my old high school buddy, taped off of USA at some ungodly hour.
This movie contains all the best of horrible Kung-fu. Reused sequences (as many as four times in a single fight scene), comical names (Fat Ho), and a Ghost Fighter who summons the "Dead Evil." The denouement is non-existent. The good guy beats up the bad guy, and the movie stops. What else do you need from a movie?

How do you rate a movie like this? Was I totally engrossed, with nail-biting tension? No. Was I dumbfounded? Yes. Looking at the 'cinema' of this movie, this doesn't deserve a 1. But, looking at it from the bad kung-fu fan perspective, it is a classic. Horrible acting, implausible action, schizophrenic editing, and dialog that makes you wonder if the over-dub actors actually had a script or were improvising. This is to kung-fu movies as Ator is to bad barbarian films: a pinnacle of the worst. For a fun evening, I highly recommend.
