I haven't seen this movie in a long time but i feel compelled to write at least a few sentences since there is only one review on the movie. Like all movies from this region, it combines great dialogue, with a twisted take on Balkan reality and is all loosely wrapped in blanket of humor. It's kind of a tale of revenge, but without a real reason for it. Like all hostages and their captors, the two bond. The violence is a little graphic at times but it is expected as it reinforces the story. For me personally, i enjoyed this movie as i did "Wounds", "Black Cat White Cat", and "Pretty Village, Pretty Flame" for its humor. Yes there is more to these movies, but coming from this region i feel the humor, and how it is meshed together with violence, tragedy, and all-out chaos, more than anything gives these movies their edge. Cant go wrong with this one.

I watched a movie on TV PRVA tonight. Nothing lost in time, after 23 years. A great action movie, such were not filmed in our country before, and everything that was filmed on this topic was shot after this movie! Uncompromising, very dark, with great black humor, and real drama. Fantastic Lazar Ristovski, Nikola Djuricko, Nebojsa Glogovac, Bojana Maljevic, Boris Milivojevic and others. Definitely recommended!

Great movie. Old school. Revenge without any goal is a big topic. Maybe it's bigger today than it was in the 1990s. I watched the movie again on the anniversary of Nebojsa Glogovac's death. One of his best roles. Excellent Nikola Djuricko, Bojana Maljevic, Boris Milivojevic, Nikola Kojo, and Ristovski better than in all his films! Good story, a conflict of two generations and the first destroyed the second. Some of today's movies are just pale copies of "The Rage". I enjoyed it like I did every time.

This movie was so advertised on a national television at the time it simply imprinted its director's name in my memory - the famous " ...u filmu Bobana Skerlica, DO KOSKE".
Do Koske starts very strong, in a quite cinematic manner. It gives you a bit of late 90s Belgrade vibe, post Socialistic poverty setup, underground rock and in a completely different context it woke some nostalgia in me. As the movie progresses further it introduces some heavy torture/rape elements which gave it much darker tone and it built up even more intensity, you just wonder how it will end. Unfortunately, unfolding of the story is the weakest part for me, as the movie looses intensity and darkness with the introduction of a gang fight. The scene itself is relatively well filmed and weirdly choreographed which actually is a good thing.
Majority of actors did a great job, especially leading roles by Ristovski and Djuricko, I don't think that Djuricko ever had a better role since. The supporting role of the late Glogovac was masterful, as always and it gave the film its own dimension.
The cinematography was clever and together with the incredible music and great set design it painted a nostalgic urban atmosphere.
Like most of our films from that period, the story preaches the socio-economic hell that arose in our country during the 90s and towards the very end it pushes the point of the story a bit plastically, which is a minus in my book. Nevertheless, the movie is very fluid, it doesn't waste time, the relationship between two main protagonists is intense to the very end. All in all, it could have been much greater, but I consider it as one of the greats of the period.

The film is technically well made, though some of the editing is not great. The cast is competent, and the only real problem is the script. This film doesn't know what it is or what tone it wants to assume. The motivations of the protagonists remain largely obscure and often defy belief. Just as the characters seem close to having an interesting conversation, the screenwriter seems to run out of ideas and ends it before any thing meaningful is uttered. It all end with a ridiculous shootout, with some poorly placed comedic elements and a baffling finale where nothing makes any sense at all. The film's greatest sin is that we never really learn anything about the protagonists that we didn't assume at the very start. So why did we have to endure all the violence and abuse?

Pointless
For days I have not been able to watch movies, and now, when I've finally found the time, I've made a mistake in the selection. I can not say that it is poorly done, but except for a few relatively good jokes and action scenes above average for this area, the film does not have a much to offer. It's meaningless and redundant. I watched it primarily because I heard that it could be compared with "The Wounds" and even with "Pretty Village, Pretty Flame", and if you approach it with such expectations you will be extremely disappointed. To compare this empty action with the aforementioned masterpieces of domestic cinema is blasphemy of epic proportions.
