The 13 episodes were shot back-to-back, for 230 days.
The show was filmed in the last year of Hungary's Soviet era (1989). When later the actors were re-dubbing, they had to change the word 'elvtárs' ([party] comrade) to 'bajtárs' (brother-in-arms).
Artúr Kálid, Zoltán Rajkai and Szabolcs Bede Fazekas in reality fulfilled military service at the time of the shooting.
