The large pink signet ring that Marius Goring (Emile Englander) wears throughout the series is the same one that he wore in two previous productions, as Commandant Razinski in the film Highly Dangerous (1950) and as Sir Percy Blakeney/The Scarlet Pimpernel in the television series The Adventures of the Scarlet Pimpernel (1955).
The photos of a young Emile Englander (Marius Goring) in his office in the second episode wearing a Nazi uniform are of Marius in his role as a Nazi Storm Troop Leader, Fritz Gerte, in the 1940 film 'Pastor Hall'.
