Hardcore porn in recent years has raced to the bottom of the barrel, typified by incredibly tedious all-sex exercises. But GOODBYE MY LOVE reminds us that even back in the day there was plenty of mindless filler.

Looking less voluptuous than usual (though her too much rouge cheeks are in evidence), star Connie Peterson sucks her way through 54 minutes of idiotic ennui. She's Mike Ranger's companion, having sex with him at the film's beginning before he has to rush off to work. Ranger is wearing a cast on his arm -apparently the actor was accident prone since he made several films in the mid '80s wearing a leg cast.

Connie masturbates after he leaves, and the film's lack of continuity and credibility is evident early on as she makes a cryptic phone call and then receives a call from Kevin James, who works in TV commercials and wants to come over to drop off a script for Ranger. (This film could have used a script, as most scenes seem poorly improvised with truly inane dialog on the level of baby talk)

Connie immediately seduces Kevin and there is a jump-cut to completely unrelated sex scene of Michael Parker and Jennifer West making love -in which she calls him by the wrong name (Steve instead of Paul), but full speed ahead.

Connie is next walking with tall pal Sherrie Smith (an actress with the briefest of careers despite a distinct look on-screen), and when they get home they have a lesbian scene with no buildup whatsoever. She later refers to Smith (as Jill) as Paul's girlfriend but that is not established in the "plotline".

Connie needs Paul (an old flame) and makes love to him (Parker), then returns home to be bawled out by Ranger who catches her in a lie, reminding her that Paul used to abuse her. Mike's anger is defused by Connie giving him a blow job. She goes to sleep, but the audience gets to see the "Dear Lynn" letter addressed to her by the bedside, ending with Ranger's salutation: "Good Bye My Love".

Unlike Connie's many loops (which emphasize anal sex, a feature totally lacking here), the movie's sex scenes are not stimulating. She was not successful in transitioning to feature films, and for fans the only really good starring role for her is in the highly recommended THE LITTLE FRENCH MAID.
