I've always been a Hanna-Barbera fan and Huck has always been one of my favorite characters, and for those reasons this movie is one of my all-time favorites. I loved the satire as well as the running gags and the cheezy puns. Hell, the movie is worth it just for the puns! And it's nice to see Huck get the girl after all this time. I'd definately recommend this movie for both kids AND grown-ups alike.
"The Good, The Bad and Huckleberry Hound" works well on two different levels. It is a great parody movie of the old westerns using bad jokes, music and animated scenes that have been lifted from more recognizable westerns of the past. It does a good job with these elements and never takes itself seriously; which is what parodies are suppose to do.
The second level, and most important to me, is that it is a great Huckleberry Hound movie. I am a big fan of Huck and this movie lets him shine as the star. The film uses good comedic gags that are fun and reminds me of some of the great animated classics like the old Warner Brothers cartoons and some of the best of Hanna-Barbera. Yogi Bear, Boo Boo, Quick Draw McGraw, Baba Looey, Snagglepuss and Hokey Wolf make guest appearances, but Huck is definitely the star of this movie. This film is my favorite of my entire Huckleberry Hound collection, and I encourage everyone to give it a try.

I thought that the characters were really funny and all had great personalities. The animation in My opinion was crisp, clean, and really clear. Not to mention beautiful! Most of the characters in this show are hilarious like the Looney Tunes characters that we all love. in My opinion these characters are the funnies and talented ever seen. In fact, The things that goes on in this series' cartoons are in My opinion nuts which that is what makes them hilarious! There are so many to like and laugh at and the silly things they do! If you like the original Looney Tunes and animated films then I strongly recommend that you watch this movie today!
this is a story about Huckleberry Hound. He is named sheriff of a Western town. Unfortunately, there are these outlaw brothers who want to kill him, and his friends (such as Yogi bear and Boo-boo)desert him. Eventually, he meets and falls in love with an American Indian princess. Will he prevail? Will his friends come back? See the movie and find out.
While liking the character of Huckleberry Hound himself, his show was not one of my favourites from Hanna-Barbera. It was still a good show, though with some animation limitations and repetitive story lines every now and again but the title character, voice acting, "My Darling Clementine" and the humour were great.
'The Good, The Bad and Huckleberry Hound' to me is the best of the "Hanna-Barbera Superstar 10" series with 'Yogi's Great Escape' being the weakest. The "Hanna-Barbera Superstar 10" series ia a collection of specials/films made during the late 80s featuring Hanna-Barbera stars like Scooby Doo, Yogi Bear, The Flintstones, The Jetsons and Huckleberry Hound. None of them are great or masterpieces, but none are bad.
Most of 'The Good, The Bad and Huckleberry Hound' works very well indeed. My only complaints really are the out of place modern technology jokes, that juxtapose too much with the jokes that are true to the style of humour of the show, and that some of the characters while still delightful could have had more screen time and more to do.
For those few faults, there are a number of great things. The animation is vibrantly colourful and crisply detailed, not exactly true to the show's animation style but for something not made on a high budget this was pretty good. The music has a lot of character and energy and fits dynamically.
The writing and jokes are some of the most imaginatively timed and funniest of the "Superstars 10" films, and this is the film of the series, advantaged by the ingeniously rendered Western setting, with the best story, kept simple but not feeling padded, confused or repetitive.
Characters all entertain despite the too little screen time for some, and the voice acting from some of the most talented names in the business is terrific. What a masterstroke to have Daws Butler in particular in multiple signature roles, but nobody disappoints.
Overall, very good and entertaining. 8/10 Bethany Cox
