- Pickle: [after learning where the last team of Series 4 hails from] New Forest? What was wrong with the old one?
- [repeated line]
- Treguard, the Dungeon Master: And just keep telling yourself, it's only a game... Isn't it?
- Treguard, the Dungeon Master: [to a team that's just reached the third and final level] From this point on, you can expect the opposition to get a lot tougher.
- Treguard, the Dungeon Master: A word of warning. The dungeon is obscure, so any knowledge of previous quests will be of little use.
- Treguard, the Dungeon Master: [to a team that's just arrived in Level 3] Well, stand quite still for a moment while I give you what warnings I can. There are Cavernwights in Level 3, as you know, but more recently we've had reports of small bands of goblins. Worse still, sightings of a somewhat larger creature which might even be a hobgoblin. However, the good news is guards are scarce, and most of the hostile ones lie behind you in Level 2. That's enough for now... on with the quest, and keep a sharp lookout for any source of energy.
- Treguard, the Dungeon Master: [to a dungeoneer in Series 3] And here of course is the famous... or is it infamous... Helmet of Justice? You know, a lot of people who wear this seem to come to a sticky end. But I'm sure that won't happen to you. At least, not right away.
- Mogdred: [to a dungeoneer in Level 2 while disguised as a monk] We shall meet again. I have no doubt.
- [he laughs evilly and vanishes]
- Morghanna: [a dungeoneer in Series 3 is about to take a path with an unseen exit when the sorceress Morghanna, who's been stalking him throughout much of Level 3 suddenly appears inside of a stained-glass window] Enough of foolishness and enough of fools! You have been lucky so far but now my curiosity is exhausted. My delight lies on the dark side so I stoop to extinguish your flame.
- [she chants an incantation]
- Morghanna: An end to the quest!
- [two energy bolts from Morghanna hit the dungeoneer bringing they're quest to an end right on the threshold of victory]
- Treguard, the Dungeon Master: Ooh, very nasty. Morghanna, it seems, has struck again. I'm awfully sorry about this boys because we had great hopes for you... but without dragon magic I'm afraid you were no match for Morghanna. Now, you must rejoin Martin. Spellcasting UNITE - U N I T E.
- [the surviving members of this team vanish]
- Treguard, the Dungeon Master: Farewell Martin, Lee, Jamie and Darren. Hurry home and we must hurry too for the time of challenge is fast fading.
- Velda: [the elvish Velda is unsure of Gavin, the first dungeoneer of Series 3] I don't like this. I don't like this at all. You're not supposed to be here. Or else perhaps... here is not supposed to be here.
- [Treguard's image appears]
- Velda: And you've brought a Dooley with you. Hold dark one and name yourself.
- Treguard, the Dungeon Master: Calm yourself Miss, if you please. For I am no enemy... merely Treguard, the Dungeon Master and referee in the greater game of luck and glory.
- Treguard, the Dungeon Master: Warning team, worms be present on Level 1. All contact is deadly. Those who linger longer in this chamber may linger forever.
- Treguard, the Dungeon Master: [a dungeoneer has picked up a destructor in the Level 2 clue room and they have to drop it before it drains away all of they're lifeforce] Just in time.
- Golgarach: A knight errant will often follow a maid, but name me the maid who follows night?
- Treguard, the Dungeon Master: Think team. What follows night?
- Jeremy Martin: Day?
- [Treguard gets hopeful]
- Nathan Holter: Scott, say day.
- Scott Evans: Day?
- Golgarach: Falsehood. Dawn was the truth I sought.
- [they now fear they've blown they're quest]
- Golgarach: One alone is the score. Your quest is for the Chalice, but you should not drink from it. All other knowledge is denied you.
- [Golgarach vanishes]
