- TriviaThe show's writer, Emiliano Queiroz, invented lots of characters to insert in the story in order to help unemployed actors and actresses. Due to this "overbooking" of characters, the story went crazy as did its budget. Trying to save the story from a complete disaster, Globo Network Television called for the help of Janete Clair, famous writer of radio plays. In a desperate attempt to save the story, Clair created an earthquake that shook the fictional city and killed more than 50% of the characters. The problem was that one of the characters killed was the one who knew the secret that would have resolved the story with a happy ending, so Clair had to create a new situation to solve and, finally, end this complicated soap-opera.
