The success of this telenovela brought on a revival of the 50s and 60s' eras music style, with twist dance competitions happening in several places across the country. The soundtrack album sold over a one million copies.
Brazilian singer and performer Cely Campello's 1960 hits 'Estúpido Cupido' and 'Banho de Lua' had brief comeback and she made a cameo appearance in the story.
