- TriviaSilent artistic short film by Vasily Goncharov based on the eponymous folk song on verses by I. S. Nikitin.
The first color (painted by hand) film shot in Russia. One of the first art films produced in Russia at the Moscow branch of the studio "Pathe Brothers".
Vasily Goncharov is the director of the film, however, according to the recollections of the filmmakers, the production of several simultaneously filmed films, among which "Uhar-kupets" was one, was performed by Kay Ganzen (Kai Hansen?) and Maurice Gash, who came from abroad, as well as Mikhail Novikov. Goncharov's contribution to the production of this film is not entirely clear.
