I think this is one of the most funny and intelligent motion pictures ever made. There might be the problem of getting the point of the highly demanding and subtle humour, which might arise especially to female viewers. Other Cineasts and me often meet and discuss the content and the development of harder understandable jokes and their effects at our regular symposion concerning masterpieces of modern entertainment.

Only an idiot would say this movie is only for men.

No, this film is not high drama, nor high comedy. I wouldn't call it even a classic comedy. But this WOMAN, who is also someone who loathes "Baywatch," thinks this is a terrific parody. Not fantastic, but worth watching when it comes on TV. It probably helps that I've seen a few episodes of Bully Parade and found it hilarious at times.

Don't expect much, be in the right company, and you will enjoy it. But if you can't enjoy really silly movies sometimes (like, say, Shakes the Clown), or, you either don't understand German or you don't have a good personal translator (aka, my boyfriend), don't bother with this film.

At first the most important fact: THIS IS A MOVIE ONLY FOR MEN!!! Please, please don't watch this motion picture together with girls. The female sense of humor is not brutal enough for really enjoying the coarse gags this movie is stuffed with until the last second. (Typical dialogue: She - "Why are you laughing? That wasn't funny!" He - "Buahahahahmmpf... no, of course was that not funny - EXPLOSION!!! HAHAHAHA!!!!"

The humor of Michael Herbig's movie is comparable with Farrelly-Brothers-productions and in my opinion it is funnier than Herbig's "Manitou's shoe", because the gag-density is much higher.

Take a few buddies, a huge bowl of potato chips and a bucket of Sangria, then watch this movie together and you will have a great evening! ENJOY IT!!! (and take care of your forehead! *g*)

I think that this film is absolute nonsense and a real bit of trash. The basic idea is not too bad, if you think of the supercool Baywatch boys and this film really wants to "make fun" on them. But actually the characters are extremely disgusting and make you switch to another film after a few minutes. Luckily Michael Herwig has made "Der Schuh des Manitu" which is a really really funny comedy!!!
